Step up to 48v dc, and the current is halved... 34A dc. On a 600Ah battery bank, that draw is negligible JUO: 3 Likes |

bigrovar: @bigbrovar, Had the same issue with my raspberry pi uploading to emoncms website too. At first, it was difficult tracing why it happens but i was able to pinpoint it to services stopping abruptly. I noticed as soon as you do a reboot, it starts uploading again. So what I did was to setup an autoreboot in crontab to automatically reboot the Raspberry Pi at at least 5 times daily and this solved the problem. I have since reduce the reboot time to once a day (12pm daily) and have not experienced any downtime since. 1 Like |

Power your fridge, freezer, AC with solar during the day and public power at night when available. Don't kill your batteries with huge load. Price is 16k for 63a

I'm going the route of DIY powerwall, and thus far I'm pretty impress with the result. It's a 7s100p setup of 190ah. I intend to crank it up to maybe 7s 300p/400p. The lowest cells are 1500mah and the highest cell is 2500+mah. I used repackr.com to group the cell 7 Likes 2 Shares

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by NiyiOmoIyunade(m): 12:37pm On Jun 27, 2018 |
Perhaps you can bottom balance them - drain individually to cut off voltage and then charge back up - set your cutoff voltage above the minimum for the weakest cell and put to use - monitor frequently for the lowest cell voltage so you can recalibrate the system if required. dgr8truth: |

earthrealm: I think it is not advisable to use a mobile phone for hotspot since the use will require the phone to be perpetually ON for a very long time. Also, the phone can also get hot with time. And schedule reboot in mobile phone is not that common unless you get a third party app. Why not get a mini, micro-router or pebble. With that, you can then connect your cctv camera with wifi or network cable. A raspberry pi is just mini pc so that may not work for you. In addition, other forum members can also share the experience if they feel it will work. 1 Like |

Get inexpensive BMS from aliexpress even the ones with Bluetooth such that you can monitor system performance up-to individual strings on your android phone dgr8truth: |

babaegun: Actually trying to see if I can avoid having to reboot every once in a while.. This is due to the write limit of SD cards. The RPi operating system is configured in read only mode and process that requires file writing like logs are mounted to Ram. Reboot causes the OS to write to disk.. Another reason is once I reboot I loose buffered logged files. Even without Internet logged files are kept in system ram until there is an Internet connection when there are not retroactively uploaded with appropriate time stamps. Rebooting would mean me losing every monitored data captured and stored between losing the Internet and before the reboot took place. I am making some progress and I am confidence that the issue would be resolved.. Eventually. earthrealm: RaspberryPi essentially requires a bit of Linux skills. You can get by sha because they are tons of guides online if you are ready and willing to learn. |

Ah Oga! Nor be so o. I do not have a solution to this problem so I kept quiet waiting for someone who can help to talk. The thing is as far as I know that CyberPower is a very very old system and Prag discontinued support for it long ago. Few if anyone would have boards or spares for it now. Perhaps KieKie on this forum would have or know someone who can help you fix it. He still has an ancient cyberpower 3.5kva he uses to carry his heavy loads If you are unable to fix it it or the cost of fixing is prohibitive then it might be time to get a more modern replacement. DMerciful:I thought of it, what actually put me off was the balancing current of 0.5a,it will take forever to perhaps bring the whole string to almost equal voltage. |

Good morning guys. My 20 Amp soeur battery charger stopped working last week. The problem I have now is lack of fund to get another charger and my 100AH battery has been drained below 70% D. O. D. I need someone who resides in Ilorin to help charge the battery as I intend keeping the battery fully charged until am able to afford another battery charger. I don't mind paying for this service too. Thanks. |
