lennyk:lennyk, From the look of things there is strong correlation between your previous studies, intended program and job role. Endeavor to link this up while drafting your SOP. In respect to the sponsor, let you husband be the prime sponsor to your visa application, while the uncle a co-sponsor. Also, try everything humanly possible to get an affidavit of support to support their claims of financing your studies in Canada. Your letter of intent should reflect the following and should be addressed in each paragraphs to avoid repetition. 1-) Describe your academic background briefly. 2-) The program of choice 3-) Why the school. 4-) Why you choose Canada not Nigeria. 5-) How you intend to finance your studies in Canada without working. 6-) Family ties in Nigeria. 7-) What you intend to achieve at the end of the program and how it might benefit you in the future. Other documents can be, landed documents, business assets, your university credentials, NYSC discharge certificate, share certificates (if any), etc... All the best 6 Likes 2 Shares |

BVNOBVNO, Your degree mustn't tally with your work experience. Once there is a progression in career, you have no problem whatsoever. Do the necessary home work by showing correlation between HSE and Environmental health and safety in your SOP. You will be okay. Lastly, be sure you've tackled the concerns of the visa officer before reapplying considering you've been rejected four (4) times now. It shall end in praises. 1 Like 1 Share |

Emmaokudu:Emmaokudu, Being among the board of directors in a company is a good tie to your home country. In as much as the visa officers are not custodians of knowledge, you will have to present documents to further buttress your claims to be true and a little explanations on your SOP should suffice to address this. Don't only rely on this company as means of showing ties to your home country, add landed properties documents, buildings, investments etc.. Again, to your course consistency, It's a red flag only if you can't present a rational explanation to why you left your discipline (Engineering) for so long and have been working in a non-related field and now decide to further for higher studies in (Engineering). However, the word progression can be seen by the visa officer from your previous studies, current employment and intended program... If your intended program in Canada is directly related to your previous studies(Bsc) it's also a progression. As stated earlier, you will still have to explain why you've not been following a career path since you left university. All the best! |
