So you think they should be allowed to go without paying for the services they received. If we should have pity on all cute and innocent babies born in our hospitals and send them off without collecting payment for services rendered, how will d hospital get funds to get equipment and consumables to cater for the next set of cute and innocent babies that will be born in the hospital.

Pls, services were rendered, and they should be paid for. This is the reason many hospitals refuse to commence treatment without an initial deposit.

The solution to this is health insurance, but putting into consideration how the typical Nigerian mind functions, I doubt it can operate successfully in this country. Nigerian will call it "what-if" money, they'll be like " I haven't fallen sick in the past 4 years, why should I be paying money monthly/annually for sickness I will not have, I rather use that money sew aso-ebi for mama bisola's daughters wedding". When u tell some about it, they'll be like " I reject sickness in Jesus name, why should I plan Incase of sickness when Jesus will protect me against it". Others will say "when the need arises, God will provide "

And by the way, if they can't afford their bill, how will they afford to feed that child, how will they afford school fees. Is it by force to born. I wont be surprised if that couple has about 5 children at home. Nigerians!!!!!!

I know not many people would agree with me. Even people that can't feed themselves but give birth to six children while living in one room will disagree with me. Human beings elevate feelings above truth, so I am not surprised. If you can't take care of yourself or their is no source of income to cater for the family, childbearing shouldn't take place. I have seen what these children go through all because of their parents foolishness and vanity. Being poor is not a crime(I don't look down on them) but trying to meet up beyond what you can handle is bad and disastrous.

That's the problem right there. Not only her! The rate at which people give birth without planning is alarming - a visit to any government hospital will shed more light. I have a relative that have 9 kids and yet the most senior i was told is 14 years old. Every year we all do contribution to bail them from hospital. I cannot count the number of times I get visitors asking for assist for hospital bills.
Please take in when its affordable and absolutely necessary and not 'borning' for 'borning' sake thereby putting innocent kids in an avoidable situation.
Pretty woman sha, cute kid.. But 93k cannot be raised or contributed by even her immediate families? That's strange.

Don't mind them, they put feelings above truth. If people have sex, get pregnant and COME TO THE HOSPITAL, they should be willing pay the bills. The baby's cuteness or patients poor financial state is not an excuse to skip the bills. Hospital is not charity, it is business. Doctors do, patients pay.

I might sound cold but why bring innocent kids to this world to suffer. To raise a child into being a financially independent adult is no joke! She is one of the millioms of "children are blessing" Nigerians. We need a compulsory family planning in Nigeria.

I support you whole heartedly, what was he thinking before inpreganating his wife, I suppose is the usual "God will provide nonsense" the Man should have set aside at least 200 to 300k to cover this type unforseen circumstances. what?! Actually I don't pity these people, they can never learn. It's always their feelings and vanity above the truth. It's best they learn the hard way. If you see what these children suffer because of the foolishness of their parents, you will hate the parents.

Nonsense, if there is no source of money to take care of the needs of the family why give birth? Suppose the doctors let them go free, how will they take care of that and provide the child's need? What if they born again and come back? What shall the doctors do? If you have seen what these children go through because of the foolishness of their parents, you won't be talking like this. If you don't have a source of money to take care of a child, don't born. Hospital is business, doctors do, patients pay.

Even if I go through hardship, I won't make this foolish mistake that will force me to pay what I cannot pay. Marriage is not for everyone, childbearing is not for everyone. By the way, religion and other world mysticisms are bullshit, I don't depend on any god or holybook, I make sound decisions knowing that I will bear the consequences of my actions.
