Deltatoto:You do not rejoice in evil or misfortune. You rather show empathy. Your comment here is heartless and cold and remember that what you sow is what you reap. What goes around comes around. Wait for it, its coming around to you and it was all of your own doing. Our confessions have the power to attract or push away things from us. Instead of you using yours for good you chose to use it for evil. You just chose what you wish to attract. Goodluck with the harvest. |

I strongly disagree with these Sir, becuase i dont think a reporter will see any victim in an helpless situation without 1st provide help before reporting or taking picture. |

don't subscribe to weeping...just don't take pictures and seek for necessary help for the victims..will your tears help their case?..act!!! |

Like I always say, Nigerians are too sentimental. |

So journalists should weep rather than provide information. Let's not forget that the person who wrote this wrote it also because he wants likes, shares and popularity. |

Deltatoto:You're happy the evil is befalling APC states, Smh for you. You should have known that definitely it is not only Yoruba's that lost their lives in that incidence. My Deltan neighbour four kids are involved so you need to be more happy, dance, share testimony, play music etc. Silly being! |

My sentiments exactly. We have gradually but surely become dehumanized as a people in this country. Thank you OP. You have spoken well. GOD have mercy on Nigeria. |

joey150:You are both saying the same thing but using different words. While you used taking to the street, the writer used weep. And i agree with both of you. It's time common Nigerians takes charge of their destiny. Impressive write up by the way. This should get people rethinking. |

spicyuzo:i totally disagree with u. How do u want others to understand wht happened without the visuals? in a more organized area, cctv wld hav captured this.....if not for recordings, who would hav believed the 9/11 incident? |

joey150:So that's your take away from the write up? That 'crying' is the solution here? If it is the you have some serious comprehension problems my friend! |

joey150:Hey, don’t be sarcastic! He didn’t say crying is a solution to the mishap! He meant crying being the instant reaction to the situation- isn’t that better than snap shots or picture taking as first reaction?? Your policies-changing solution, would it bring the lives back?. People like you have been described by Alibaba. Lawaless! When the policies are enshrined, would you not still resist its good intentions? Appalling!!! |

ikorodureporta:The people who lost their lives, family and friends would believe it. Okay now that you have seen and believed, what has that earned you? CCTV cameras are electronics, that's why they can stand to video such disasters. But a human being who is just lucky to be out of the fire to stand and take pictures of the other person burning and crying, is just appalling! Where is our humanity? |

Deltatoto:...you at happy?... Why do we talk like animals online....so whatever bad that happens to anyone in Lagos for example is justifiable because it is an Apc state....see ur reasoning |

I didn't read this but its actually truly insane taking videos of such gruesome incident. |

OP's message makes perfect sense. At the same time, someone has to play the role of a journalist even if all they have is just their phones. That's how we all got to know of the news. It becomes a problem when everyone is the press and no one plays the role of a rescuer. |
| Re: It Is Mental Sickness To Take Pictures And Videos From Accident Scenes by mvem(m): 7:19am On Jun 29, 2018 |
ikorodureporta:...but no one snapped mutilated bodies at 9/11 scenes and published them online...these are people relatives and a dead man need respect too |

UjuJoan2:not everybody wld b bold or conscious enough to record the event. Its jst like taking vehicle plate numbers in an accident scene, or recording a robbery event...... It doesnt mean heartlessness |

instead of calling on senate to release full money to complete the lagos ibadan to save life and Government to stop the movement of petrol tanker during the day. people are using china phone to video. so sad. that is why America is better. @largemanmotors |

I disagree! It happens all over the world these days. While people should assist where possible it is also necessary to show what happened before facts are twisted. It is a worse mental illness to believe in a useless sky daddy that watches while people suffer untold hardship. If u believe in God and prayers / miracles then ur head needs to be corrected. |
| Re: It Is Mental Sickness To Take Pictures And Videos From Accident Scenes by helpee(m): 7:23am On Jun 29, 2018 |
vikacydevato:False. The first thing is to make sure you are safe. The next thing is to call appropriate authorities. Call emergency number. Unless you are properly trained, you may worsen the situation. If you want to help, go and donate blood and assist under supervision of trained people. People taking pix can also help spread the news till it gets to appropriate authority so the OP is not 100% correct. There was a woman whose leg got trapped under trailer. Granted she was in pain. Rather than wait for appropriate authority Nigerians cut the leg of the woman and she bled to death on the way to hospital. You can't always help on the scene of major accident unless trained people are guiding you as volunteers |

Sometimes it's not their fault. Those emergency saviours have dissapointed so hard that calling on them to Nigerians seems abnormal. Have you not heard of fire fighters saying they don't have water... Police would say dey don't have fuel... That's enough to take away the normalcy in doing such acts cos dey flop most times. ![]() |

spicyuzo:Its absolutely ridiculous how we take advantage of our pains. Transporters leverageing on tragedy when they should be helping. People pickpocketing during chaos. Politicians comparing figures and scoring cheap points when they should be thinking of solutions. Yesterday when Ambode was at the scene of the event, traffic officers forming eye service like they cared. I dont understand my people. Some even posted it on snapchat and IG to drive followers.. Everyone taking advantage of the situation one way or another. Even road users who should learn from the incident cant tolerate ourselves on the road, they rather drive everything to a standstill cos they want to be first to have their way. Its sad, really sad that this nation is like this.and i wonder if we would ever get out of our mess. We are the cause of our own problems.from the President to the ordinary citizen and its not until we begin to change the way we think and uphold morality and virtues, i dont think there is hope for this nation. Alibaba is very right. We cant pray away lawlessness, selfishness and greed. |
