A woman was apprehended after allegedly dumping her newborn and leaving the baby to die at Bakassi IDP camp in Maiduguri, Borno capital. It was reported that the refugee woman after giving birth, decided to throw away throw away the baby after putting him in a sack and abandoning him.

An alarm was raised by other refugees at the IDP camp who confronted the woman and forced her to retrieve the baby but it was already late. The baby had already died before being rescued.

The woman was humiliated and disgraced at the IDP camp as she was paraded with the corpse of the dead baby before being handed over to the authorities.

The blame should go to APC government which promised to secure the country but failed. If not for hardship in the camp, this won't happen.

who is impregnating all this women even when they are in IDP camp? They ought to have also disgraced the man too that got her pregnant. what she did was very bad, going thru the pains of labour and then killing the innocent child!
