Lockdown: Anambra Govt Intercepts Transport Company Conveying Passengers To Lagos, Other Destinations (Photos)

IgbereTV reports that the Anambra State Ministry of Transport has intercepted a transport company in Awka for attempting to convey passengers to Lagos and other parts of the country, in violation of the lockdown directive by the government.

According to IgbereTV reports, the inteception was made by the surveillance team of the ministry who patrolled the various parks and boundaries in the state to ensure compliance with the the Covid-19 directives of the government.

Five members of the transport company were arrested while issuing out tickets to customers.

Anambra State Commissioner for Transport, Dr Christian Mmadubuko in company of some task force members of the ministry expressed dissapointment over the attitude of desperate businessmen who disobey government directives and endanger the lives of the people over material gains. He assured that the said company will be made to face full wrath of the law according to the Anambra State COVID-19 Law.

The commissioner who was shocked that people still travel to different parts of the country at this period, warned transporters and passengers in the state to adhere strictly to the state government's directive and remain indoors.

What is shocking here? Or is it not the security agents that were suppose to enforce the law that gives them passage? Despite the lock down in States, people still travel in defiance or out of pressing necessities.

I'm sure they haven't bribed the right authority that was probably why they got arrested. No be Naija we dey? Even Lagos here, where the virus is real, commercial buses are still coming in and out, so I'm not really suprised.

This is actually what the government suppose to be doing to people violating the NCDC law, I don't just know why some Nigerians are so adamant to simple instruction, infact they suppose to arrest all the passengers and the driver, nevertheless, let us all find out more about real estate business via REALESTATE>>> and invest in any of their laid down plan, but I think there is this constitution that says nobody is above the law, why is it that only the powerless people get purnish for violating the law, let's look at what happen at kyari's burial, I swear, all the people there on that day suppose to be arrested including the president himself, but nobody say something about that, this is total injustice to the poor.

They should be taken to an isolation center, kept there for 14 days and forced to pay the bills for meals and bedding.

That way people will learn.
You need an iron fist to be in government

Anambra governor is very serious and sincere about this. You can see how the people flagrantly disobey rules that are meant to help them and their societies. Their claim is hunger. Now they will be quarantined and made to suffer other humiliating consequences worse than hunger.
