That is what happens when the economy is centralized in one location leaving the rest of the states to come to Lagos alone to haul products. What happened to opening up the ports and letting cargo be closer to all the states ? No, we want all taxes on one part of the country and not the other.
Sorry. We understand your plight and frustration.

You should have asked the drunkard who served as president for 6 years to open ports in your landlock region, so that cargo will be closer to you.

Medicine after death. A way of looking for a victim to pay for the cost of cleaning and repair of the damaged road. Useless Government.

Hmmm......how can they know the truck changed owner 13 times but don't know the present owner?...is he not the last on the list? Is this the best they can do to cover up for the owner? What the families of the victims and those who lost properties need to hear is who is charged for negligent murder or whatever. Innocent people are roasted and the ones responsible are protected by the police...... and yet some of us still wonder why jungle justice is still practised.

This is the root cause of all this pointless analysis. No mind all the grammar about being over weight. The most important question is "why do we have so many heavy duties on tiny Lagos road?". The politics involved and the greed of Lagos leadership not to raise any objections to the long term repercussions. Just imagine, Lagos is adding another report now. Till the day Lagos accidentally goes ablaze like the great fire of London, then something will be done about all this.
Amen

But Calabar, Warri, Onne
And PortHarcourt Ports are still working.

Centralization ain't the issue here but putting other port in use effectively.

Let the federal and state government find a medium thru which petrol can be transported using other means. Transporting petrol thru the road is outdated

Bro, we have pipelines for fuel transportation but people steal from it and blow them up when they get angry, guarding them is expensive

Weird they have license plate, knoe it was registered in Kano and even know it changed ownership 13 times. I wonder how the current owners info slipped past them.

I wonder o or maybe d truck belong to a bigwig?
Moreover is it insured? Who pays for the damage to live and properties?
As usual in few days time we would hv forgotten about this and move on
To another disaster(God forbids)
Truly it's a shithole country

Sometimes I wonder why we make laws in this land. Sebi there is a law/regulation on truck movement within Lagos? Since the law will not be enacted, why make it at all?

Abi?
