I'm writing this with great pain in my heart. My dog delivered last night till this morning. For some reasons they all died, sadly seems the nine were still birth. I'm confused, what could have gone wrong. This is her third litter...... She refused to leave her cage or allow anyone close to her life less pups. It took some help to dispose the pups and clean her up. What can I say but what is life.......

Oh not again! it's like there is an epidemic. Someone posted how he lost 11puppies too at birth and now this. So sorry for your loss. take heart.

I wonder o... Very few breeders can do half of what you do o... I was in a group and i asked for information sometime ago, if you see d way they wer hoarding info like its petrol during scarcity, so.etimes they read and dont reply... I was so mad... Who does that, does someone's dog giving birth means u wont sell ur pups? I dislike greedy Nigerian, u are doing it for a dog in pain not me... Later they will say i am in it for d love i have for d dog not for monetary purpose... I spit on their faces...

thanks for sharing! I also thought giving all those antibiotics and all was not necessary since my dog has littered twice hassle free. but now I know those 2 times was luck.

I will try and decipher this your shorthand and know what to do going forward.

General rule with antibiotics is you are creating a future problem. Resistance is built up when they are used indiscriminately. I am not a Vet Doc but I have heard this line of thought before and discussed with a Vet Doc who disagrees with this line of action. As a rule I ensure I deworm Dam as she begins to shed (GSD keeper) knowing she will come on heat soon. I also maintain very good hygiene, diet and essential excercise for Dam. I've only experienced one still birth. Pumping the Dam with antibiotics while pregnant only predisposes the pups to drug resistance when they may need them later in their life.

pls antibiotics is meant for wot?..if tritmnt of infectn...y r u talking abt wrong info..ds ws d reason I prefer a persona chat....do pups jt die natural death...am talking abt saving pups...i pray u dnt learn by exprnc...if u had lost sets of litter...u won't come on to say ds...na who kn kn...dff exprnc,dff views..wot Eva works for u adopt it...I won't urge wit u cos ur augment is based on wot u told...
