For me, I do not see marriage has a 'suffering ground'.

Yes, your spouse would hurt you, sometimes it feels like you are carrying most of the weight, you have to be selfless etc. however not a man would damage you, you can't never win bla bla bla.

Of course, a good number of men are conditioned to let women suffer/ see suffering as the hallmark of a good wifehood so it is only right they reward their slaves accordingly.

Maybe you shouldn't wait until she has gone through a lot from you before treating her like a queen.

Maybe you should treat her like you would want to be treated in the first place so she doesn't have to suffer or endure anything.

Maybe she would be rather treated with respect than treated as a queen as a reward for suffering.

That woman is demented, I even got a long ban yesterday, addressing her . She has a strong hatred for foreign women, particularly SA. Forget her nonsense. I live in SA and have been here for 10 years , I came as a student and I feel more at home here than Nigeria. Are there no SA who hate Nigerians of course there are but those are a minority, others just don't care as long as you don't get mess up their community. I'm married to a SA woman, trust me when I say they can hold their own better than the average naija girl. Not that naija girls are lazy but our society is designed to uplift men and their privileges and here is the opposite the government is more about women empowerment because they were the most affected by the former segregation. So your typical working class SA woman doesn't see her men as someone who will give her money and status but a partner , that's why women here are not desperate for marriage. Some even marry in their 40s lol. The two societies are very different in many ways. That's why I felt embarrassed when this fool bragged that SA women work harder as if it's a shame. And that has nothing to do with SA men being lazy , it has everything to do with their culture and how the society is structured. Lol, women pay in dates here . It's weird when you are new but you get it in time.

Maybe I read it differently , I don't think she is advocating for women to take poo. I think even in her posts she advocated for them to be useful to themselves and make their own money. I get what she says when she says " they will hurt you etc" . It's true even for us guys , I have been hurt by my wife's sharp toungoue many times , but I know how she is when angry and I found a way to let it go. It's marriage my sister and in long-term relationships people talk smack when angry or do stupid things they later regret . It is what it is . We all wish it wasn't.

In SA like America and Canada I think, they have a clause that if you are 16 and are exceptionally matured and your parents have consented and signed at home affairs that you are fit and they have a psychologist that has signed you as a capable adault then you are free to marry. But I think you can't marry someone over 21 years of age.
