Players who can't make it here are going to the Bundesliga to tear it up. Batshuayi and Ademola have stats that are top level in the Bundesliga. With regards to Ademola he had essentially come from league 1.

It's the top players in the Bundesliga that make it hear nit those who are struggling. Balogun is an exception he is in Brighton as cheap cover at a mere £1.8 million cost.

Our NFF officials also don't really do much to help the situation.

With this mind, for a player to be dropped there must be clearly proven tested BETTER REPLACEMENT.

Mikel - stays no replacement, Iwobi is an inconsistent pretender. Not yet maybe in the future.

Ighalo - Not good enough, had too many bad days maybe. But NOBODY us clearly better - He stays

Onazi - Maybe lost a bit if form. He stays, no clear replacement.

Joel Obi - Questionable but who is clearly better than

KC - Still has something to prove nobody better

Shehu - looking very average - Dropped if Aina is clearly better. That comparison has not been made yet.

Idowu - Stays till we get better, don't think he is Solid

Omeruo - Stays

ECHIEJILE - dead and buried.

Liverpool have reportedly made their interest concrete in Nigerian winger Moses Simon with a formal offer sent to Belgian side Gent.

A bid was tabled to Gent recently, according to owngoalnigeria, the offer is €13m and also includes the loan of Liverpool youngster Taiwo Awoniyi. While the source is not very popular, this doesn’t mean it’s not credible as other publications have previously mentioned Simon’s name.

The 22-year-old caught the eye of Liverpool and other English clubs due to his performances for Gent last season – directly involved in nine goals across the 33 games he featured in. Simon caught the eye in the leadup to this year’s World Cup but unfortunately missed the tournament due to a back injury.

The contest for a place in the starting 11 was between him and Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi – Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr praised Simon for his pace and defensive work-rate, two essential qualities that could have gave the Super Eagles the edge to get out of a tough group.

You’d be forgiven for not knowing much about Moses Simon – with no World Cup showcase and the fact he plays his football in Belgium. The only fact that you’ve picked up is that his middle name is Daddy. Yes, you read that right. However, I’m here to help, as I’ve previously mentioned his pace is impressive and this combined with his dribbling makes him the archetypal winger.

Solomon Fowowe, a football writer at The Guardian Nigeria, compared Simon to Liverpool’s own Sadio Mane: “(He reminds) a little bit of Sadio Mane, if you like because he’s direct when he embarks on the way to go and he knows when to go on those dribbles when he gets close to goal. He has a whole lot of speed about him and it really works well.”

Should this be true, it would be an excellent acquisition for Liverpool, the need for depth on the wings is obvious to all of us and Simon would fill that void. Klopp’s record with developing young players is well documented, so the addition of the Nigerian to the squad would be excellent, however, it may be at the detriment of a young English player like Ryan Kent.

With Moses Simon’s contract with Gent set to expire next June, Liverpool will likely start putting the pressure on in the coming weeks starting with the bid tabled. Gent will be well aware of the embarrassment of riches that the Premier League clubs have at their disposal and the attempts to drive the price up would have already begun. With player power more prevalent than ever and Simon likely keen to move to one of the leading leagues in Europe as soon as possible, should the rumours of a bid be true you’d imagine Liverpool could get this deal wrapped up should they desire to.

There is player playing for non league Fylde in England being courted by Championship clubs.

At the end of the season club recruitment will look at players statistics. Then they will look at the players and then they will go get them.

Dele Alli, Ademola Lookman, Gomez, were all teenagers catapulted from non league to the EPL. Why top performances.

Of our players are good they will progress from moi moi league and clubs. It's simple.

I really don't understand the criticisms against Idowu. The only problem I've seen in him is his final ball. I'm beginning to feel he is being criticised cause of Ebuehi.

His contract is owned by Arsenal but he has never kicked a ball for them in a competitive game. Not even the U23's.

He has gone to the mighty Porto I hope he gets game time. Because it looks like he will end up in the B side.

I quite agree with you on the fact that Nacho isn't a tap in striker. He doesn't have good 'off the ball movement' nor the positional play to be a fox in the box kind of striker.

But I don't agree with you saying he offers more.

I personally think Nacho is better in a counter attacking team with lot of space to run into when the team is on the counter. He can also ping some good long passes to locate his partner on the counter but when we talk of intricate linkup play in the final third, he's often found wanting and that was why Pep sold him off.

So basically, he doesn't have the positional play, movement nor the presence to play as a pure striker neither does he have the intricate linkup and movement to play as a SS. However his style would be suitable in a counter attacking setup. That reminds me of our game against Argentina where they didn't afford us any space to counter. They must have learned from our friendly encounter against them. How I wish Iwobi was brought on instead of Ighalo. Ighalo gave us a better presence and his positional play was perfect but the let down was his finishing.

Omeruo had one great game vs Iceland....He was awesome.....but the Messi goal clearly showed why he hasnt started in a while...he got beaten for pace from a long pass over the top. He has tried for his career, but we need to look at the future, not past.

Iheanacho - still a crucial player for us. No longer a guaranteed starter.
Shehu - Very solid player. One of the first names on the squad. I prefer Ebuehi but Shehu's importance can not be understated. Very versatile too.
Idowu - Solid.
Omeruo - One of our best players at the WC

Messi beats a large percentage of players by pace. That is why he is one of the most gifted players in the history of football. I do not think Messi beating Omeruo for pace should be counted as a negative for Omeruo. Keep in mind Messi was micro seconds ahead to the shot.

Iwobi has to earn his spot. Remember Etebo is keeping him to the bench for now and not Mikel.
