All 12 boys and their football team coach have been found alive after becoming trapped in a flooded cave for more than a week in Thailand.

Chang Rai governor Narongsak Osottanakorn told reporters that Thai Navy SEALs had found the group alive after nine days of desperate searching.

He added: 'We found them safe.

But the operation isn't over.

'We will bring food to them and a doctor who can dive.

I am not sure they can eat as they have not eaten for a while.'

we don't no d reason they entered d cave. Its possible they entered 2 take shelter from d rain. I stand by my position. I don't think they will b thinking of recrimination. To think that a 25year old could b so brave&committed 2 protecting d lives of those under his care is amazing when u compare him 2 our president who is much older but can't do anything 2 protect d lives of his citizens under his care

Na flog for good to give dis kids and dis coach. See d trauma dey put the whole world into. I have been restless since I heard d news. What a relief though. Whew!

Been thinking about them every minute, refreshing some Google on them since i heard.

Thank God they're ok, big thanks to the government, people of Thailand and foreign rescue team for not giving up on them.

it's possible but the water from their jt is:

1. not in enough quantity, thus very unsustainable
2. too polluted with urea, thus very unhealthy

i suspect those boys had to resort to probably drinking from the very water that trapped them in the cave.

applying some basic survival techniques learnt from bear grylls, one can easily use his shirt to filter the water to some extent.

Other countries are saving their citizens while some like ours are destroying, extorting and harrassing theirs. Its time for us to sanitize this country.

This is a very good new to all that had happened to these boys lost in the cave and to their families too. Hopefully, they will be extracted from that hole and get checked upon by tomorrow.

Bravo to all the teams and sub-teams that have contributed to the success of this rescue mission.
