Might sound harsh but even with what was going on privately and i sympathize but sub par performances are still sub par performances. Thats not because he was good enough to hold that position but because he was not

I will like to see you concentrate at work and perform one hundred percent if any of your parents or siblings is kidnapped.

Can you tell me how many MOTM awards he has won in the Eredivisie and the 2nd tier Eerste Divisie, please. Specifically ❓

The basis for selection still has to be about consistent continous top class performances, in your league and club.

If Nwakali was performing on loan, you will not need the Arsenal youth team coaches to say anything. There will be a que of clubs fighting to get him on loan or buy him outright.

So what's special and why is he more of a genuine prospect than anybody else. Convince me please.

But that's not happening, I wonder why ❓

I don't have the exact stats and number of MOTM he won but I'm very sure he won at least 5 which I am aware of.
However, I will be very frank with you, I am quite disappointed you're trying to sweep under the carpet the fact that he was named as Arsenal's best on loan player out of over 20 players sent on loan by the club. This award adds to his growing CV which includes U17 MVP. If you still cannot find any potential in some of these personal accolades this boy have acquired then this discussion isn't worth the while.

You're speaking as if he is a passanger in Holland but ask yourself If he wasn't doing well enough, why will Porto want him on loan with a buy out clause which was turned down by Arsenal?
This young man's record speak for itself. That is not to say he has arrived of course.

there is no way you can compare the austrian league to czech league. at least good players have emerged from the austrian league of late and there have been a haven for scout mostly from neighboring germany who frequent there to tap unpolished talents. talents like keita, mane, our own kayode, forberg etc have been revelations from the league in the past few years. can you name one decent talent that have emerged from the czech league in the 3 seasons? call a spade a spade,it will even be better for olayinka to play in the egyptian league than czech league

its normal for a young player to start from nowhere. henry in just few years of being a top flight player have made name for himself. a player who caught the attention of teams such as monchenglabach, psg, everton, liverpool, monaco, anderlecht, club brugge, leverkusen, hoffenheim, valencia, barca, leipzig, fiorentina etc is not a flash in the pan. after his everton move he continued from where he stopped the previous season notching up to 10 goals before injury slowed him down. as it stands in world football henry is highly rated and regarded than your olayinka which is the gospel truth

I have been around enough clubs in England to take with a pinch of salt, some of the marketing and hyping vthat goes on. Particularly what's put in the press.

If you are not doing it in your club or loan club then there is simply nothing to say.

Why is Seyi Ojo, Tega Abrahams, Tega Onomah, Ovie Ejaria on the too get list of so many clubs in England. I could add to that list Ademola Lookman.

Simply they performed on the pitch, na hard sell required.

I have already talked about my experience with Portuguese clubs. Until he plays for Porto first team and puts in quality performances it means nothing. That's if he even will play for the first team.

By the way I have not been able to confirm any MOTM awards given to Nwakali at MVV, I hope I'm wrong.

I have no doubt they will. He would have been perfect for England but I'm not sure how that will work with the relationship between the two countries as it is. He is strong and quick, very good defensively Messi would account for that.

I wouldn't advice the move but the club is always in the Europa league and it seems he slept with the owners daughter at gent because he clearly did better than any of their players last season but yet he has never played for them. My verdict is that he should get out of gent but to a better league. Even if it is to stay in Belgium.

You can see reports of games where he was man of the match. Personally I know of atleast 5 games he was the MvP. I suspect he has more because there are games we're he scored braces playing the Pirlo position.

Jeorge Bird is not in the business of player hype rather he gives factual reports on Arsenal youth team players. He is like Arsenal's academy mouth piece.

I have watched Sheyi Ojo, Tammy Abhram and Ovie Ejiara. I legit think they are talented players but in my humble opinion, if any of them were born in Nigeria, I wouldn't imagine they will be considered by Liverpool and Chelsea. We all know about the home grown rule. Take it away and see some of these guys end up working in the subway.

K. Nwakali havent had anything handed to him on a plater. The boy has worked his way up the ladder. The coming season is a big one for him as it will be considered a great conquest if he steps up to their senior team and not just spend the whole season with the Porto B(where it is assumed he'd start)

Why is Austrian league clubs playing UEFA playoffs before they play in the UEFA Champions League?

It is unlike the Czech league club that enters into the UEFA Champions League group stage direct. Don't forget they consistently made the round of 16 in Europa League. It is just this season that one of the Austrian league club crossed the Europa group stage after many years. How is the Austrian league better then?

There are talents from Czech league going to big clubs too.

Do you have any fact to back up your claim that he won 5 MOTM in that league?

Peter Olayinka is not short of offers from Germany, Spain and France but if he ditches those offers for Slavia Prague because of money like many Nigerians, I would stop rooting for him.

Dude is too good for any back water league. I dont know why Nigerian players are hardly ambitious. This is one rare trait I see in Kayode, he is always aiming higher and he is never afraid.

No doubt about that but he is definitely not exceptional for his age unlike a guy like Presnel Kimpembe. Akanji is just another average young center back, hence I say he was overrated here. That said, I hope he comes good in the future.
I think with his age he is not overrated and a good WC for him though not yet there but would have been a good addition to our team, hope he keep on developing.

It seems most of us don't know how Nigeria players behave when it comes to career making decisions, money first irrespective of the country, not a good move to be sincere but these guys don't care, pls see Etebo going to championship the same championship Ebuehi rejected for Benfica and likely Musa would go to Saudi Arabia.

Maybe seats reserved for certain officials. In the event that some were reserved for private personalities, I would assume the personalities did not show up despite obtaining the tickets.

What records did the Super Eagles set at the World Cup?
11:33 AM
Dami Ugbane, KweséESPN

Nigeria's World Cup campaign ended in disappointing fashion a week ago today, when they were defeated by Argentina in St Petersburg.

The Super Eagles had been given a preparation unparalleled in their history of participation at the tournament, raising expectations given they reached the Round of 16 in Brazil four years ago with way less support, but they failed to match their pre-finals projections.

Regardless, the Super Eagles broke records in their sixth appearance at a World Cup finals.

Unbeaten Against World Cup Debutants

Nigeria were always going to bank on their perfect record against World Cup debutants when they faced Iceland after an underwhelming performance in the defeat by Croatia.

The Super Eagles had previously defeated first-time qualifiers Greece (2-0 in 1994) and Bosnia (1-0 in 2014), and they extended that record against the Scandinavians in their second group game, in Volgograd. They recorded their best performance of Russia 2018 in defeating Iceland 2-0, with two goals from Ahmed Musa.

Curse of the No. 9

Odion Ighalo's barren run in front of goal heading into the World Cup -- he had not scored since the home qualifier against Cameroon in September, 2017 -- saw huge question marks hanging over his ability to deliver for Nigeria at the tournament.

More worrisome was the fact that he was allocated jersey No. 9, a squad number reserved for a centre forward that had bizarrely produced just one World Cup goal for Nigeria, their first ever, against Bulgaria 24 years ago.

That goal drought had included players such as Rashidi Yekini, Bartholomew Ogbeche, Obafemi Martins and Emmanuel Emenike, and it extends now, after Russia 2018, to 20 games and 1139 minutes.

Nigeria could have written a different story entirely in Russia had Ighalo been clinical enough to have converted either of his two chances against Argentina.

Argentina Jinx

Nigeria had played Argentina four times in FIFA World Cup finals, losing all four, but they went into the fixture in St Petersburg with high hopes given their 4-2 victory in a friendly in Krasnodar, Russia, in November 2017.

As in the previous four encounters, however, the Super Eagles lost by a one-goal margin. The latest defeat -- conceding the decisive goal with just four minutes of regulation time to play -- was particularly devastating as it cost the team a spot in the Round of 16

World Cup Penalty Drama

Never in the history of Nigeria's World Cup participation had penalties been awarded in each of their three group-stage games.

In 18 previous matches at the tournament, Nigeria had been involved in only three games that featured a penalty: against Italy in 1994, Sweden in 2002, and South Korea in 2010.

That number was equaled in Russia, as Nigeria conceded penalties against Croatia and Iceland and were awarded one in the heart-breaking defeat by Argentina. It was got even more interesting as Gylfi Sigurdsson's failed spot kick was the first missed penalty in a match involving Nigeria. The Super Eagles have now conceded four penalties and been awarded two at the FIFA World Cup.

All-time Top Goal Scorer

No individual had held the honour of being Nigeria's all-time top goal scorer at the World Cup since their first participation in 1994.

Daniel Amokachi and Emmanuel Amuneke scored two goals apiece in the U.S., and they were later joined on that number by Kalu Uche and Musa.

Musa moved clear at the top of the list with his brace against Iceland -- his second at two different tournaments, as he scored twice against Argentina in Brazil, where he became the first Nigerian to score more than once in a single game.
