SARS Officers Assault Young Lawyer Allegedly Demanding For His Salary In Lagos led by some SARS operatives, allegedly on the orders of his boss who is also a lawyer.
According to reports, the incident happened in the law firm of one Oluyomi Olawore on Friday, 29th of June, 2018, in Lagos.
It was gathered that Karimu had tendered his resignation letter to Olawore in May, 2018, after working there for almost a year, but he begged him to work till June, so as put the new lawyer who would take over from him, through.
He obliged, but midway through June, Olawore allegedly told him to stop work, that his services were no longer needed. Karimu was said to have asked for his pay based on what he had done so far.
The boss gave him a post-dated cheque which would become payable at the end of June. On the due date, Karimu allegedly went to the bank but they refused to pay him because the cheque was not properly signed. .
He went back to Olawore but he refused to sign the cheque, claiming that he had no business with him anymore. Karimu insisted that the cheque was useless to him without the proper signature and refused to leave the office. .
The boss then asked some of his staff to go to Kam Salem Police Station at Obalende, to get police officers, on the ground that Karimu was holding him hostage in his office. The police officers came and the video was the resulting event.

Oh no.
This is just too bad.
This is the height of it.
If this matter is taken up, THIS PARTICULAR video should end the issue of SARS TOTALLY.

He came to ask for his salary and they were slapping him so HARD and threatening to blow out his legs?
I have never heard of a cop slapping you for whatever reasons in a society that works.
This harassment is just too much.

Well, he is a lawyer, he should know the right thing to do and the right people he should take the matter to.
In saner climes, his boss (no matter the post he think he is) would be in Police custody at this moment. SHAME!!

#JusticeForKarimu ..........no time!

When the head is rotten, the whole body will be affected. If the Oga at d Top (Buhari) cannot have respect for human life and dignity of work, the resultant effect is this descent to indecency against life and whatever it represents. I just hope that the lawyer will sue both the police and d said boss.
But my fear is that getting justice in this shithole of a country is not that easy.

Pls, don't quote me unnecessarily.

This guy should take the case up...

First, the SARS officials who slapped him have absolutely no business in law enforcement agency in a civilized society, they should be dismissed ASAP, the way that guy was being slapped, I wonder what would happen in their station.

The employer should be made to face the music too, this is the height of wickedness.

You go to school for years, graduate and end up with some inhuman boss, the plight of the Nigerian graduate!

The problem is nothing would be done, in the end, his family will pay same SARS to bail their son out, the other employees will be more scared to insist on their rights when necessary, smh.

when I watch videos like this I lose hope in this Nation. what would warrant a trained security officer to draw his weapon in a small office skirmish which could be easily settled to favor all present. Buhari should not authorize state police because the situation will even become worse when he does that. friends of the Governor can now use the police to perpetrate acts of terror as we have just witnessed in this shameful video. there is presently no explanation for that officer to draw his weapon even if we don't really know what happened here.
