These people are nothing but animals. I am a Yoruba that want Nigeria to separate simply because the country will improve and not because one animalistic tribe from the East say so. I castigate and insult only Yorubas that shout 'one Nigeria'. I see these Yorubas as people who lack foresight that refuse to learn from their ancestors' pasts. These people, to me, are the ones holding Yoruba people down. They have refused to ackowlegde reality starring at them, and that is the more Nigeria continues to exists, the country will continue to retrogress.

Very apt and informative analysis. However, I want to add more reasons why the yorubas are morbidly afraid of break up of Nigeria hence their hatred for IPOB and other separatist groups fighting for Biafra.

1. They know they can't recover Ilorin and Okun lands from the fulani.

2. It will lead to the exodus of Igbos and other Easterners from Lagos and coupled with the drastic loss of oil revenue from the Niger Delta and import duties from Igbos using the sea ports and airports will certainly lead to the collapse of the Lagos economy.

3. They are more divided than many people thought, and the impression of religious harmony is just a facade because their Christians have accepted a subservient attitude to their Muslims who are emboldened by the caliphate to influence the affairs of Yorubaland, now once Nigeria breaks up, their Muslim brothers will lose the advantage they currently have and their would be a balance of power which could lead to supremacy battles.
