brogxy:

Don't ever try to start the trip. Starting the trip gives the rider an option to rate you poorly if you later decide to move on without taking the trip with the rider. I normally call the rider before getting there that I am around. Then call again after waiting for about 2mins. I move on after 5mins elapses no matter what the rider says.
Time na money
nowadays one can wait more, not like when request are more than available drivers then. Btw one day i waited for 20 mins. Taxify. Someone actually requested for her. (i made up my mind i would stress her too) when she came out, i cracked the engine and zoomed off. She call begging me to please come back... I said ok, i am coming back. I canceled the ride and moved to a different position. (next time she wont keep another driver waiting that long)

pls kindly explain the difference between this oil and the previous one advertised earlier.it seems they serve the same purpose but of different value, since they're both 5w30? thanks

These oils are all advanced full synthetic as inscribed, and will do 5000miles of protection or 7500km.

Yes it is full synthetic and magnetec ..but unfortunately I just sold the last one this morning to a young man from ipaja ..but since nairaland community has been good to me .. I have the last usa mobil spec keep engine running . I can sell it in good faith for 14k.. Mean while the last castrol I sold this morning was for 13500k.. Let me know early enough if you are interested before somebody buys it.. It is the last oil I have so far.. Am expecting more soon ..

Well, the biz isn't as lucrative as it was according to the veterans in it. One would need to work extra hours to achieve a reasonable amount and you need to have the right tools, even with the right tools u still need to work smart and with God' guidance and Grace you can breakeven or breakthrough.
As per choice of car, this is a daily discussion on this thread, we have had from Peugeot (406, 407, ew10 engine), bin the best to bin the most sensitive mongst them, then the 07 civic to be not too strong, Elantra to be the best but the engine and transmission would cost an arm and a leg, 03-07 corolla is best suited for the job but u will drive with your heart in your mouth and sleep with one eye open. Although I believe with good maintenance culture, u should get value for your money should u go for : Corolla, Hyundai Elantra, Yaris, kia Rio, 05 Civic.

30-35k is actually very reasonable if car is in good condition.
If you have the time, you can manage it yourself but if you don't then u can give it to a fleet company.

Lastly, don't forget insurance, comprehensive insurance is ideal.

2. I hear 100k should suffice for Insurance costs..how true plz.

I know this kind of mother******, you will pick up the car after work and drop it in the morning before work resumes. The mother****** gets to use the car during the day, while you struggle to make ends meet in the dead of the night.

Yes it's very realistic and what's not realistic is when one peg his weekly remittance to 45-50k with the aforementioned vehicles. If said cars are toks, then 40 is okay.
As for comprehensive insurance, it depends on the value of the car and the package

You didn't add matrix, it's cheaper than corolla. I just added a matrix to my fleet and the car is so sweet.
I'm driving it myself for a week before handing it over.

Well, there is an easy way out for investors/partners. Reason why we have to buy a car with good resale value.

They will request for a ride when they know they are not ready and expect the driver to wait for ever. And the taxify riders do it more, well taxify will soon introduce cancellation fees. Though they have been saying this for a long time. Just like one of my rider one day, called her she said please let me shower. Just came back from work, I waited ooo because it's along badore so I can't go empty. She came out and started telling me how her boyfriend broke her heart and all that and was crying. Abeg pay me my money jare before I break your head join. grin
