For Glo, no charges

Not particularly sure you can access the USSD service on a glo line with insufficient credit.

MTN got no issues with GT bank though.
Right now, I'm just surprised at the rate Airtel is harvesting my airtime on top calls.

For gtbank, you need minimum of N4 as your credit balance for airtel and i think etisalat before you can use the *737# code ..other networks N0 balance

Airtel charges #10 for using ussd
You'll get a notification of insufficient balance on your account if you have anything below #10.

For real. Me thinks the bank from which the transaction is carried out also matters. I use my Airtel line with my diamond account and I'm not charged for anything. Be it recharge or anything of the sort.

This is exactly what made me port to 9mobile last month.
Now 9mobile charge me for using the service, at least it works. They even have a billing plan for it, per second.

I was shocked when their customer service agent told me the tariff. Every one wants to milk us dry

I didn't notice this also until Tuesday when I wanted to transact on my acc.
Insufficient fund just pop up I was surprised, I even tried using email moni and mobile banking all to no avail. I had to get a recharge card then do what I wanna do.
It started since January 1st this year.

If it is airtime that is been charged, such charges are from your service provider. However, if the charges are been deducted from your bank balance, then that is from your bank.

That N10 charge is common on my Access Account whenever I check my balance. I'm not so sure of recharge because I rarely recharge from the account.

However, no charges of any sort on my UBA account.
Ogade! The guy is talking about the use of USSD code. Not bank charges. Airtel started charging their customers since January 1st whenever you nake use of the USSD code on their network

This country is set up to actively frustate you, all these charges are becoming overwhelming, OP, I'd advise you to get your bank mobile app, that's better.

Wrong
I had to switch my bank line from etisalat to MTN because of these charges. With zero Naira, I transact with my GTB account.

It works like one or two weeks in a month and no more. Very annoying

Yes, 9mobile does. I have since avoided using 737 and would prefer going through the whole internet banking stress
