For example I had Nigerian acquaintances who had no interest in knowing about AA history or the struggles. Was very quick to talk about how AAs are this or that. Saying that I was an exception meanwhile they only know AAS from the place they work, not wanting or trying to know that the 5 people you know are not the basis for a theory. I should point out that the one gentleman gave generalization s about how Nigerian men are this or that way and not to trust them, scammming, blah blah. In the end, he was romance scamming me so I guess he was fair with the generalizing. I learned a big lesson tho.

It depends on how people grow up. In my case, I have Nigerian blood running through my veins through my parents and some people think of me as AKATA. What set me and my Brother and two Sisters apart is that we are very fluent in Yoruba language. In my case, I have been to Nigeria more than thirty times and my parents even encouraged me to get a place in Lagos and I did. Deep down, we are all the same people looking to take care of our family and do the right thing. I work in an office full of White guys and i would vouch for 99% of them.

That generalization is a stereotype. I’m not into that stuff. With Nigerians not wanting to learn about Black American history, it’s the same with Black Americans, they don’t have strong interest in learning our culture/history.
But everyone feels the other side is more racist etc.

Chicago is da bomb because it's centrally located and it has a lot of opportunities. Chicago is family friendly too. The only downside to me is the cold winter months.

I would want them to know that in truth we all have love for each other, it’s centuries of brainwashing on both sides of the Atlantic that caused the divide we have today
Black Americans would still have their African culture today, if not for the fact that whites systematically and forcefully took it from them.
They would be more Igbo, since 70% of their African ancestors were Igbo
