The problem with Nigerian democracy is the people.

Not INEC, not the government, the people.

This Ekiti election was marred by open vote buying...and the painful thing is people willingly and freely partook. No one stopped them, they were not forced under duress to take APC or PDP's money...they willingly took it.

If Nigerians cannot wake up to the fact that vote buying is wrong...then maybe we should dump democractic rule...and go back to autocracy till we know better.
If had no hope of what to eat that day and the next, or you are the type that can only afford to eat once a day, you would take the money. Dont blame them. Blame the government!

you we're supervising commissioner, and they bought votes, how come there was nobody arrested. the only way to curb this is to prosecute one person.
until nomination of those in INEC from chair man to commissioners is taken away from the president. the INEC will always do the president's bidding.

Vote buying became popular when this government came to power. Edo to Ondo and now Ekiti. Later they will say they are fighting corruption.
Like seriously...I can't believe any sincere adult can say this...PDP introduced everything that is wrong with our Electoral System into this country... grin

Only fools will believe this deception by Buhari's INEC

The real rigging happened during collation when PDP agents were locked out. Even with the vote buying, APC lost...... INEC is only being smart in half by blaming vote buying.
why where PDP agents not raised an alarm immediately they where lock out from collation center?, start serious protest and make a lot of problem, instead of waiting for the doctored results to be out before coming out with excuses. they were simply complacent, feasibly vulnerable and unacceptably prone and weak to have won the election

No, I am from Fiji Island...Abi no be PDP again...The only person that was close to bn a saint was the late Yar'adua (may God bless his soul)...a wonderful man who meant well for the country, but 4 his untimely death...

Was it OBJ that rigged virtually all the elections conducted under his watch (even Yarádua mentioned dat he knew he was rigged into office)...Murice Iwu was his chief rigger at d time...have u forgotten how Ghana Must Go exchanged hands at d National Assembly as OBj coveted a 3rd term in office?

GEJ? don't even mention that one... he looked away as his party raped democracy in Ekiti 2014 (have u 4gotten d audio tapes)...Not only that, go and figure how the man was blowing dollars like pure water just to win SW...We know what he used security operatives to perpetuate in Rivers thru Wike...We all know what was going behind closed doors b4, during and after 2019 polls...as Abdulsalami Abubakar was begging him to accept the 2019 results and step down if he loses...a sane mind should know what prompted d continuous pressure on him to step aside if he loses...there is no fire with smoke.

Abeg d list too long.

"The ruling APC couldn't defeat the PDP convincingly in Ekiti Election, they had to resort to alleged open vote buying and chasing away PDP agents with police to write fake results. Hence, it has become clear to President Buhari and the APC leadership that they can't win the 2019 election".
