Chilling video shows final moments before fatal plane crash that occurred recently in South Africa (scary video)

The final moments before a charter plane crashed just after takeoff near Pretoria, South Africa, was caught on video and has been shared online.

The chilling video recorded by a passenger reveals the tense atmosphere inside the Convair CV-340 that crashed just after takeoff from Wonderboom Airport near Pretoria on July 10

As flames shoot out from an engine, one passenger is heard saying: "It’s getting bad. This is getting very bad".

At some point, the pilot cuts the engine and the plane begins to shake violently.

One passenger asks: "Why are we shaking like this?"

And another replies: "They’ve got to cut the engine so we can reach the runway."

The video, obtained by the aviation website AIRLIVE, shows the plane struggling to turn and make it back to the runway.

"Make sure you’re strapped in. Strap in," someone screams.

Disaster soon strikes and the video goes black after the plane slams into the ground near Pretoria, the Capital of South Africa. Miraculously, only 2 passengers died. Others survived, though many sustained serious injuries.

As passengers scramble to escape the wreckage, a man is heard yelling, "everybody out!"

I heard two people died in the crash ... I noticed the left engine was on fire and was still left on instead of being killed and the fire extinguished , it's seems the pilot intentionally left it on to try to stretch his glide as far as he could which clearly shows the right engine must have completely stopped working earlier .... Off the top of my head I can guess that both engine must have sucked in some external debris at the same time .e.g like a flock of small birds , hail , stones or even a swarm of locusts..

What a brilliant pilot. Not sure about the right turn though as it'll lead to loss altitude but he kept it nice and level.

He saved many lives.

Still on still, people will queue at the Airport the next day in a bid to fly an aeroplane

Not necessarily so and it wasn't at the end of his glide. But we'll have to define what we mean end of glide. I define it as when you approach ground effect at minimums.

He could be trying to line up with the airport. It's a natural thing to try to do but its rarely successful to make it back to an airport in those conditions.
