He could be trying to line up with the airport. It's a natural thing to try to do but its rarely successful to make it back to an airport in those conditions.

Oh I just read the full story now ( I only watched the video before) he lost both engines at V2 during a takeoff climbs and the bank was an attempt to return back to the airport ..its now clearer why he didn't kill that engine ( you can't kill both engines at V2 no matter what )

The way both engines fail is what I don't get. Why must both engine fail at the same time. Air crash investigations keep finding new ways plane crashes. Must death kill people by all means, him no dey go leave or travel go another planet? I fear much when the plane is asending bc any engine error will not give the pilot time to calculate.

Glide is the distance a plane can travel with its engines turned off. That feature of planes was a horror to Biafran women and children as they were the only ones the Nigerian soldiers could kill.
