I had an opportunity to got for a function in that same town over the weekend and had almost similar experience like those priest, from wat I found out last weekend was the closing period for their masquerade celebration in that town, and I was flogged before getting to my destination wer I even had to come down to fight back at them at some point for such a useless act.

Good enough the Governor is from that Local Government (Udenu LGA) and he was around cos he was in the same function wit us but I was surprised that even at that their youths wer still misbehaving and no body cautioned them. Attacks on the priest could hav been a normal act but to notice they wer priest would hav made them take more advantage on them..... my feel.

I hope those Priests didn't destroy or try to destroy their Traditional worship place.

As we Christians won't take it lightly with any Muslim or anybody that tries to destroy our church, So will Traditional worshipers defend their place

just as Muslims would be harsher on protecting their mosques should you try to misbehave!

From this report, the priests in involved didn't wrong them or try to stop them from doing their thing..so why blocking them and beating them up? They should ask,questions about people that did that in the past and how they ended up...they always and up shamefully!
