You heard maritime agencies were embarking on strike, yet you allowed tankers into the city knowing fully well they will not be atended to. Now they use all roads and inner cities as queues while they would have been prevented from entering the state and asked to wait at their parks until the strike is over.

Always being reactive like spontaneous chemicals.

This is a good moves by the state Government, Kia these people has been constituting nuisance and menace on our road, becoming unbecomable and careless about what we go through. Well done Ambode.

There's been complaints for more than a decade.

Wether igbos want biafra or not is not your business.
Ejimagift:
The reason why the south west is more developed than igbo land is because we have leaders with listening ears and progressive mindset. Imagine removing trailers and tankers on the road less than 24hrs after complaints by motorists. Instead of fighting for biafra, the south east should demand more quality leadership from their governors. Not biafra.

I hope they commence the operation swiftly because the gridlock has done much harm to frustrated commuters and people residing in that axis.

I don't know why we like putting reactive measures instead of being proactive in this nation.

This same exercise should be adopted to waste management scheme and road repair in the state as Lagos is far becoming an eyesore to what it use to be.

Ambode we know u are working but it's not enough. Cosmetic project won't cut it. Focus on areas that need urgent attention. Thanks and God bless you sir.

Senseless is what you are. How long has it taken for truck build up to happen in Apapa? it's been weeks now. you wouldn't know because you are soaked in tribal bigotry. mind you, south east leaders don't wait for such to happen before they act. They are generally proactive. If Ambode were proactive, he would have seen this coming and prevented it but an idiot like you wouldn't note this.

d problem at Apapa isn't an ambode thing and a1000 ambodes can't solve d problem. Its a FG created problem. D little ambode can do is like taking a cup of water out of d ocean. If u dont address d root causes of d problem, these things will still reoccur

If possible, Ambode should demolish more houses and compensate the affected people!

Your house (if you have any) and that of your relatives shall be destroyed.
What compensation are you talking about? That someone spends 20m to building a house and he is given 5m......what kind of stupid compensation is that? angry

What you should be talking about is how to dredge other ports in the country and then move most of these heavy duty trucks to other states of the country. This will then help decongest the number of vehicles. It's corruption and greed that has made the FG feel lazy to wake up to its duties. How can one state in Nigeria be the bedrock of which goods are transported in and out of the country?

Please stop being ridiculous. What has tribe got to do with this? If he was such a smart governor, the implication was alway obvious. Even without tankers Lagos was a mess. That said, why Lagos is richer (I won't say more developed) is because it monopolises the port. This is due to political reasons and nothing smart. So, Lagos is actually Nigeria's molue. All cars come into Nigeria through Lagos. Infact everything comes in through Lagos. So every business has to have presence there. In other words, revenues that should naturally accrue to other states with waterways are deprived of such. The end is getting near. I see Lagos eventually begging for this restructuring. E sweet before, e go soon tide the smart governor. We have stolen water to create Atlantic City. We are also building a second port called free trade zone. Until the land collapses before they have sense. If he really had sense, he won't allow the free trade zone. But all they think about is their pocket and now now.

In your mind the outcry is just for 24hrs abi, so the trucks just appeared there. Those trucks have been there for more than a year now, with similar promise of their removal, let's see how far they will go this time on this.

Don't worry bro. This is the beginning of the restructuring some of us have been screaming do a sustainable country. Now, it is important for a sustainable Nigeria and Lagos. There is no other solution Lagos has found itself in. Where will the trucks go? How will they get to the ports? The grid lock stays except....
