Good afternoon house

My student visa has been granted today
I applied in june 6th. Courier man brought it today

The documents I submitted are

1.Two previous denial letters for canada in 2017
2.My Statement of purpose
3.Letter of application/Cover letter
4.Educational documents waec, ielts,transcripts, school cert e.t.c
5.Offer letter from Griffith college, showing higher diploma in first year and msc in second year
6.invitation to register letter from griffith college
7.all receipts of tuition payment to griffith college
8.I used Edubond also as proof of finances for my first year so I put in the receipt of that
9.Bank statements of my sponsor, which is my Dad including the account where fees were paid from
10.Signed Letter of sponsorship from my dad
11. I have been working for my dads company since last year, so I included a signed letter of introduction from my dad under his companies letter head
12.I included my bank statement showing 20,000 naira stipend that was paid to me from my dads company account for the past six months
13. My dads company CAC and company registration form, company bank statement

some notes: -> I got admission through an agency called study across global, they also really helped me in the visa application, and didn't charge me a dime for everything because the schools griffith college and co pay them for the service. So do check them out

->I explained in my SOP that reasons for denial were because of careless handling of my application by the agency i used last year.

If i omitted anything I will add later

For the record my pte score was 42. Last time I said 30 was their required mark at the embassy for pte someone objected it. Though the reason my mark was low was because the mouth piece didn't work at all as I had not score in my speaking at all but I used it like that because embassy didn't specify required mark for each session on their website all i saw was 30 and that was what I used

I'm the one who said they close 1pm. Even if you call from 9am, you won't get through. They can respond to emails but calls are very difficult. It only goes through after they have closed and there's no one to talk to unless the machine.

I wish i saw this thread before now. It's very useful and i appreciate everyone contributing. I am going to Dublin Business School in September to study Data Analytics, Visa Application submitted at VFS on 10th July and i am expecting a positive outcome. I have been working extensively on accomodation and from what i found, Dublin is expensive..Carlow and kildare are also becoming expensive.i think its better to take one in Dublin first for a month to settle down and find something cheaper. From info from a friend its easier when you are there especially based on referrals.
Also i found Dublin bus has capped transportation for students who are in possession of the student leap card at 20Euro/week,that is if before the end of the week you reach that cap,u can still travel for free on Dublin bus for the remaining days of the week. Also i found Dublin bus doesn't go out of dublin(can anyone confirm this please), so i think for us going and others planning to apply we should do personal reasearch on transport cost, accomodation and feeding (Most important 3) for commuter towns and dublin and compare..it might be worth staying in Dublin afterall,IMO.Also when searching for acomodation, take note of utility cost and what the rent covers and also very important...the BER rating of any house..I am patiently and calmly hoping for a positive visa outcome.
I found its impossible to access daft.ie or rent.ie from Nigeria but if u use opera browser u can as it as built-in vpn..If i find anything again i will publish it here.

Yes you can.
I learnt those who submit this july should have their application processed early because late summer rush.
Dont forget to buy medical insurance as well.
You can purchase at studyandprotect.com
Purchase medicover standard

Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by bigmills: 10:10pm On Jul 23, 2018
Congrats Man..I tap into that anointing but quicker than yours.
I advice you start searching for accomodaton and job. I advice u first get accomodation(hostel or anyone) in Dublin if your school is in dublin. Its important you settle first to do your registration and induction and you wanna be close to school.Find accomodation via daft.ie or rent.ie.
Also you should start searching for jobs now too and also flight.

After Arriving in Ireland.
All non-EU/EEA citizens, whether visa-required or not, are subject to ordinary immigration controls at the port of entry/airport.

Please note the following;
i. The Immigration Officer makes the decision on who is actually allowed to enter Ireland.
ii. He/she will stamp your passport for either one or three months.
iii. This means you must register with the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Bureau within the time limit stamped on the passport.

To ensure you have no difficulties with Immigration officers at Port of Entry, It is recommended that you have the following documents ready to show to the officer.
i. Passport (with entry visa if appropriate)
ii. Offer Letter from University
iii.Evidence of tuition fees paid, scholarship details or US Financial Aid
iv.Evidence of private medical health insurance.

REGISTERING WITH IMMIGRATION.
All non-EU/EEA students must register with the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Bureau (INIS) after they have registered with their schools and before the expiry date stamped on their passport by immigration officials at the airport.
The following documents are required in order to register with the INIS:

Valid passport (showing entry visa if applicable)
Valid Student ID CARD
Evidence of financial support; e.g.bank statement showing your name and balance of at least €3000*,or education bond receipt or a letter from your sponsoring body confirming financial status.

Students staying for two semesters or more must open an Irish bank account on arrival in Ireland

I learnt that about 47 countries share immigration information so its important one submits details of all rejected visa because they will know. It's just a database stuff.

Brah Slow down your horses, Search for job ke...You would need a PPS Card for that and that requires an appointment. It will take you at least one months to settle down and get the proper documentations needed for a job search and as for a house, dont even bother trying to search from Nigeria, Accommodation is a big deal In Dublin and it requires physical presence.
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by bigmills: 11:00pm On Jul 23, 2018
I totally agree.
My friend that went to ireland started his job search from here and he travelled before scheduled interview date.
Then he also just paid for a hostel from here and then that 1st month searched for acomdation physically.Thats what i was trying to say
