My visa has been issued today. Submitted on the 1st of June. Was mailed last week to scan in more docs on Tuesday. Date of issue 19th July! Success to all.

What additional documents were you asked to scan?

As much as they issue so do they refuse but if you don't give them room for refusal they will grant your visa without sentiment. Whoever wants to go Ireland should start on time before they become very strict

For the registration with immigration, when do you suggest we start booking appointments (before arrival in Ireland or after) because i think you are required to book at least 10 weeks in advance.

bigmills:
After Arriving in Ireland.
All non-EU/EEA citizens, whether visa-required or not, are subject to ordinary immigration controls at the port of entry/airport.

Please note the following;
i. The Immigration Officer makes the decision on who is actually allowed to enter Ireland.
ii. He/she will stamp your passport for either one or three months.
iii. This means you must register with the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Bureau within the time limit stamped on the passport.

To ensure you have no difficulties with Immigration officers at Port of Entry, It is recommended that you have the following documents ready to show to the officer.
i. Passport (with entry visa if appropriate)
ii. Offer Letter from University
iii.Evidence of tuition fees paid, scholarship details or US Financial Aid
iv.Evidence of private medical health insurance.

REGISTERING WITH IMMIGRATION.
All non-EU/EEA students must register with the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Bureau (INIS) after they have registered with their schools and before the expiry date stamped on their passport by immigration officials at the airport.
The following documents are required in order to register with the INIS:

Valid passport (showing entry visa if applicable)
Valid Student ID CARD
Evidence of financial support; e.g.bank statement showing your name and balance of at least €3000*,or education bond receipt or a letter from your sponsoring body confirming financial status.

Students staying for two semesters or more must open an Irish bank account on arrival in Ireland

The Cost of GNIB is 300 Euros...Since you are coming from a country were the embassy scrutinized your finances you are not required to display 3000 euros in an account. A letter from school and the 300euro charge...

Very well explained, you’ve been terrific on here. Thank you.. How has it been so far over there ? Griffith College and all. Has it been up to expectations? I’m still hopeful for a positive news from the embassy..

Let him go for the one that correlate with his undergraduate studies though data analysis is the best but for visa sake let him use his previous degree

Thank you. But please, are these the only recognized Irish awarding institutions or just to mention a few ??

This is what I found.

Must present evidence of the final award being attained by way of a parchment or, in circumstances where the graduation ceremony is yet to take place, an official letter for the awarding body / institution confirming that the award has been achieved.
An award granted by a recognised Irish awarding body i.e.
The seven Irish universities; i.e. Trinity College, UCD, DCU, Maynooth University, UCC, NUIG and the University of Limerick
Dublin Institute of Technology
Royal College of Surgeons Ireland
Institutes of Technology
Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI)

Please does this means that Griffith college is not recognized to get a post graduate work permit

There are houses but affordability is the issue for a student plus the paperwork blah blah

they are both good courses but Data analysis is the future..Ireland is becoming an European Tech Hub and that might be amplified with BREXIT. so if he still has the brain power perhaps, data analysis is the best choice!!

Apologies if I didn't reply any emails / dms sent I couldn't receive any messages due to non-compliance issues with Nairaland and moderators.

Congrats to everyone who have been granted their study permits. These goes a long way and gladdens my heart for the grace and opportunity to contribute positively and impact people's life positively.
