Mention your state and I shall show you a worse case scenario from your state.
Silly attitude this operation 'first to the basement' you are acting here. Such attitudes that will never see challenges but excuses. Such that when next the road is awarded a two foot wide gutter will be shoddily constructed on a road that goes down hill. Elementary physics should tell the idots that designed and built that road that all downhill drains in built up areas must be completely sealed because water going downhill will tend to arch and most of it will be ejected and erode the immediate surroundings. That is why practically every highway in Nigeria with an incline of more than 20% has failed or is failing.

But how will folks know this when they are busy squabbling to demand better returns for their tax naira.

Silly rants. What is your own advise for the people that built these bridges and roads across Nigeria that got washed away by the flood? Please write another advisory note. Thank you

The rain has been so terrible for the past three days and paralyzing everything. Raining presently at Odume layout, Obosi. Not so surprised about what happened at Mgbemena street Awada, the rain has been unforgiving for some days now and moreover the road is under construction.

If you stay in Onitsha, you should know that it's been raining cats and dogs this week, yesterday's rain was the worst as the heavy rain abated at about 11am from 4:30am when it started and keeping almost everybody indoors. The road in question is under construction so stop blaming the governor

DANGER ALERT!!!

This is MGBEMENA STREET, AWADA, OBOSI, ANAMBRA STATE.

This street has been under construction for some months now by some people who I don't even know if they are into road construction.

Don't even know the kind of materials they are using here, they will just leave a trip of sand and the rain with carry it away.

We can't pass through here anymore, except through Nwaziki Street or Ezeiweka.

I believe this was a project the government of Anambra State gave to some people, now they left it that way, risking the lives of people.

Please share this until the government of Anambra State see it. It is getting out of hand.
aah my childhood street...

Some of you here on NL are seriously sick need urgent attention. You reek of chronic inferiority complex. I'm sure you can't bear to look at yourself in the mirror- what you see breaks your heart.

The OP has shared this to bring the attention of the public to this case of shoddy job by a contractor so that it could also possibly get the attention of the state government. Rather than join to speak against the shoddy work and suggest solutions, you begin to point to other cases of flooding elsewhere.
Only cowards point at other's plight to feel good in their own misfortune too.
