Since 1999,governors directly or indirectly decide who becomes president.in 1999,majority supported obj and won.in 2003,obj had to go on his knees to get their support before he got his way.in 2007,majority of them supported yaradua and he won.same thing applied to 2011.but in 2015,most of them were against gej.majority of pdp governors were against him or remain neutral plus all apc governors that were for buhari.
Going into the 2019 polls,almost all apc governors support buhari.most pdp governors except wike,dankwambo,ortom and fayose are friendly with buhari.some like umahi,ayade,ikpeazu,udom have not hidden their likeness for buhari.buhari has been more friendly to the governors than any other president in nigeria's history.none of the pdp candidates can get the entire support of the pdp governors except dankwambo.tambuwal as a defector will be viewed with suspicion.
Buhari has allowed the governors much room and helped in everyway possible.he has not for once opposed them in anything.this is unprecedented.
Finally,some will argue that support of the majority of the masses is the biggest factor but most of our leaders were not the choice of the majority.popular support alone cant win elections except combined with other factors.even if majority of nigerians are against buhari,other factors must come in play.
A channels tv data analyst jide ogunsanwo this morning morning sai buhari has had electoral progress since 2003.even though he hasnt won i the ss/se before,against atiku,others it will change.if buhari won 10 states in 2003,12 in 2011 and 21 in 2015,how many will he get in 2019 going by mathematical formula? ...

how far did that go in 2015?
