GCam in full is Google Camera, found in Google Pixel phones.
Best camera found in any modern smartphone.
Before you get it working in your RN5, you must unlock the bootloader of your phone, obtain root with Magisk and enable Camera2API.
I'm not sure you'll understand.

ur rom is on the anti roll back wahala. u need to flash the dummy.img file to bypass the arb before u now flash ur normal twrp file. when u have downloaded the dummy.img file, u flash from adb with cmd using "fastboot flash antirbpass dummy.img" before u flash the normal twrp

fastboot getvar anti

Type the above fastboot command... If you see anti 4 anywhere on your PC's screen, then know it's best leaving and using your phone the way it is.

depends, u can flash gcam without root only on the condition that u have unlocked your phone's bootloader

Another method i find easier is to boot twrp with fastboot command and flash the twrp image from the recovery itself. grin

this ARB is mainly for folks that wanna stay on miui.. From what av read, even if ya rom is arb v4... U can still flash twrp normally and instal a custom rom without hiccups or worries? Problem just set in if miui rom is involved abi?

I've been a visitor on this thread for... God knows how long and I've contemplated on getting most of these devices at different points in time but for financial constraints. I'd even contacted Holuwaxheun and Noobody via whatsapp but I never bought from any of them. Make all of una no vex o.
When I saw Ifedith's offer of 64500 for Redmi Note 5, I was like... This offer must not pass me by. I contacted the guy and ordered the phone, but the order was eventually canceled by Jumia after a week or thereabout. I had to order another one on Thursday (albeit, at a different price) and I got it this afternoon. grin

Glad to have finally joined the Xiaomi family

That was why I said to him earlier that it's best he uses the phone the way it is... No tweaking. No flashing.
Even for the Sabinus, especially with this anti rollback stuff, something can wrong and you do know what that means.
