I stand to be corrected my ppl. I strongly believe that loading and offloading is part our responsibilities.
...It's just like you opening the boot for customer to start arranging their luggages by him /herself, what would you expect from such customer?

It's the customer service that keeps the job running if not many would have stopped using us, and go back to the local cabs.
To each his own. You can even help to bottle feed and back the baby while waiting for the mother upstairs to finish her make up.

You can offer an excellent customer service without resorting to servitude.

I sincerely hope you would come forward and talk more about this your so called business.

But first in the world of business never be close minded. Just because you have a bakery or a bottle water coy as claimed doesn't mean people on this thread lack business ideas like you claimed.

Just because it doesn't make sense to you doesn't make it a poor business. Even your claimed business venture (Bakery and bottle water) need transportation.

Or how do you get your raw material, flour, sugar and other materials you mixed together to make your bread. Even if you have bread seller come to your bakery to collect bread for sale (i.e. if na Agege Bread) you dey produce. If you produce slice bread am sure you transport it to direct selling point e.g. Supermarkets, retail store or the kisok next door.

I asked you to explain your business idea, but I am surprised you take it as an insult or an attempt to attack your person. Far from it.

Nobody is an island of knowledge and if you think you a better idea business wise, we welcome you to share your thoughts with us.

People driving here make money, car owners too make money by collecting weekly rental. So here, we have people who provide the asset (Car) and people who provide the service (Drive). People that pay for the service are called Rider.

People that provides the service collect money from people that need the service (Rider) and people that provides the asset get paid weekly (Rental).

52 weeks is a year, car last more that a year. It's called fixed asset. Just like your baking oven, Car is the asset here. You pay rent, PHCN bills, genrator, petrol, other expenses and probably insurance (if you have any). Here our business expenses are engine oil, petrol, car wash and filter.

If you baking oven developed fault, you call a repairer to fix it,when our asset too developed fault,we called our Kazeems, Auto Technician, and other car specialist to provide solutions.

So sir, like I said earlier, you want our attention, now you have it. Let us hear what you have to say? Be constructive, be detailed, be ready to answer questions, don't ask us to come pay for ebook or any course. You enter our thread,be ready to answer all our questions relating to your business.

Cheers

Who are the OUR? if I'm doing a business and I can't recover my capital in 6months or a year, then it doesn't worth it. You just want to impress people here you are bereft of biz ideas. If I'm selling 800pieces (trying to push it to 1000pieces before December) of slice bread per week at N240 each...make your calculation. I have 5 staffs, the highest earn 60k per month, 3 earn 35k and 2 earn 30k per month. I run my gen 4 to 5hours per day. Pls do your calculation.

Gazzuzz ,

With your 2million, travel to Ondo state, buy 35logs at 50k per log. Transport it to shagamu with 150k, load it in a container, forwarding fee is 1,100,000. A container is sold at $12,000.
Buy palm oil from ondo, and sell in that big market close to ketu. There are women that buy 500 25litres keg every 2weeks.

There's a way guys construct "coldroom" now, let them construct for you. It is better than an irregular 35k with repairs per week....

Etc....

Your oil sales biz and your car repair workshop is giving you the cashflow you need as a man/husband/father. What can 35k even do in a week?? Is that what you guys call a cash flow?? You are not just informed!

(Added this)
Gazzuzz , let your wife sell pet drinks in whole sale. 2m will give her lots of bigcola products (that's the new drink for the masses), then she can add cocacola n Pepsi products...

Look around you, Haruna is densely populated. What's giving Nigeria relevance in the market place today is her population.

My guy. Correct! The rule is to be courteous. Don't turn yourself into slave in the bid to offer 5* service. Loading and offloading luggages is not in your job description.

Is ''collecting tips from riders'' in your job description? But we do that everyday. Bros leave matter for Mattias.

If you gonna put something in ma booth, in most cases, I will come down to see what you putting there. Especially to make sure it's not something that can spill or stain.

I might help with luggage, I may decide not to help. Depends on-my mood, the rider and the type of luggage. If rider is a lady I will surely help.

A Taxify driver, John Otuechere, who was wrongly accused by his passenger of stealing her bag and eventually tortured by the SARS operatives she reported to, has filed for charges over violation of his human rights.

I love to engage in intelligent conversation. I like people share ideas without hidden intentions. I like people who have facts, figures and market realities not some assumptions derived from Business Plan.

If you can't read as a business person, I wonder the kind of business you do. You're a business person and you're not detail-oriented.

Like you said, Ayam a poor mind but poor mind like us are busy sharing money making ideas without hidding any details but Rich mind like you can't even tell us how to start a bakery business. What we need to start, when we can get raw material, the target market, cost involved in setting up a bakery etc. Yet you're busy hyping yourself.

Boss, be humble. Give details not mere say. We don't need hype man here, we need men of value. People who can add value. grin

Am not blaming the woman, if ur property is missing from the whole incident, the driver is the first suspect coz he stopped. I blame the Sarz I'd!ots that torture somebody as a form of investigation.

It has happened to me before, I took a rider from Maryland going to gbagada ifeko, when I started the trip he asked if I knew gbagada very well, I said No coz I hardly go to that place because of the constant traffic at that deeper life church side, we got to deeper life,
the google map was misbehaving we had to ask somebody the road to ifeko, the guy directed us, buh am not sure the guy knew what he was saying so I ignored his direction and continued with my misbehaving map, suddenly the rider started shouting that am going the wrong way from what the guy said, I said bros I knw, that guy doesn't know what his saying, so I stopped and asked another person, so we got to a place I became confused, I had to use my map, the rider started shouting that I shouldn't worry that when we get to our destination he will rate me poorly angry angry angry
We couldn't say anything again since he already made up his mind.
So I got there and ended the trip, he said I should wait so he will request me again to take him and his pal to Eco Hotel, I heard Eco Hotel I couldn't say no, so I waited.
He and his pal came with lots of luggage, bads and laptop printer etc.
We got to Eco Hotel I ended trip helped them offload there stuffs and left, becos of the stress and headache that dude gave me on the first trip and it was raining, so I decided to go home.
On my way home close to my house, this dude called me that I should check my car for his laptop and printer, I stopped and check n saw nothing, I called him to tell him there was no laptop n printer in my car, he started shouting again that is in my car, that I should bring it back or he report me to Taxify for theft, I told him bros am very sure I offloaded ur laptop and printer at Eco Hotel my self with ur luggage, he was still shouting and saying I should come back to Eco Hotel, I told him I can't that am done for the day plus the heavy rain too.
He just said don't worry I will hear from Taxify, I said okay am waiting on taxify.
I called him that he should request for Eco Hotel CCTV, he will see when I brought out his laptop for him, he said he has seen the video that I did not bring it out that am lying shocked shocked shocked
because am so sure I brought it out, I told him bros you're lying watch that video again. He cut the call on my ear n said I should wait on Taxify. Me Okay

After 1 hour later he called to say that it was Eco Hotel security that was with it, that he doesn't know the guy intention, I wanted to tell him thunder will fire him for accusing me, buh he cut the call before I could talk back.

I just said you're lucky I'd!ot
How could you not blame the woman when she could have prevented all this by just being patient and follow the driver back to the airport, mind you those SARS acted like that because of the way the woman presented the case, she must have claimed that the driver connived with someone to set her up or something. I blame the woman and as for the SARS, we all know those ones are animals who will do everything to impress who is about to feed them.
That asides, which one is ECO HOTEL, lol grin

It happened in Alade market Ikeja.
I needed to buy some dollars, one guy came and said he can get it for me cheap. He asked me to wait for him, he collected my money and gave me his own bundle of money as "Assurance" that he'll not run with my money which was like 5x the amount I gave him. A few minutes later, he returned saying the owner of the dollar is requesting that I add more money that hes no longer selling at the agreed rate, so I refused and asked him to give me back my money which he brought out, counted and recounted b4 handing it back to me and I also returned his.

When I now got to one of the offices where I usually buy, the Mallam say my money no complete...that dude half my money...azzin he took half and gave me half. I wan mad!

For someone who always claims to "want to learn more" from the idea of others, your retorts to posts that do not sit well with you leaves much to be desired.

You always seem to inject sarcasm albeit cleverly couched in your comebacks. Smacks of false humility (another term you use a lot) to me and in my opinion that is the worst kind of arrogance.

In the late 90's someone told my late dad, that he can make a fortune, by going to villages to buy egusi and selling in lagos.... Nah so my Pops enter road with him friend, moving from 1 village to the other somewhere in the south of nigeria.... After 5days they were yet to collect a 200kg sack of egusi grin

Selling it was easy, but after weighing the logistics and accommodation and discomfort, they never tried it again. What am I saying? You have painted a pic that looks like easy money, but not told us the down sides of the business to expect.

I have 2 friends on NL that are into this same business of exporting wood to the Chinese, it's very profitable, but not as easy as you paint it, but it's nice to hear another business perspective.

Once your staff are informed they can make 80k on the average monthly while driving 10-12 hours daily in chilled AC rather than 30-35k in your hot oven. I doubt you'd be having them around for long.

Gazzuzz ,

With your 2million, travel to Ondo state, buy 35logs at 50k per log. Transport it to shagamu with 150k, load it in a container, forwarding fee is 1,100,000. A container is sold at $12,000.

Business man, where is your maths skill? Will 2m finish this one? Person say 2m deh ground you are bringing business of 3m over. More so, won't they buy insurance for exported freight?

Buy palm oil from ondo, and sell in that big market close to ketu. There are women that buy 500 25litres keg every 2weeks.

There's a way guys construct "coldroom" now, let them construct for you. It is better than an irregular 35k with repairs per week....

Etc....

Your oil sales biz and your car repair workshop is giving you the cashflow you need as a man/husband/father. What can 35k even do in a week?? Is that what you guys call a cash flow?? You are not just informed!
