Yoruba's call it_ Kpanla kika (meaning smoked round fish). So tasty in fried stews or vegetables, but sometimes, makes your stew more peppery to taste.

That fish does not have a good taste when smoked. If you use it to cook okro when it is fresh you will enjoy it. Its glory is in okro soup and not in soup. grin

I sometines add it to my stew, sometimes vegetable soup. I prefer it's smell to that of stockfish in soup.
