I still repeat, Lagos VISA office is now processing study permit application.. My study permit was issued in Nigeria (Lagos). and I submitted ONLINE

Peace.

This truly appears that some online applications are processed here in Nigeria. Well, I am not a custodian of knowledge. Thanks for providing clarity. Congratulations to you!

Same with my application, Lagos office replied the mail I sent to London immigration
wallet87,

That means Lagos visa office should be in charge of your application.

Good morning everyone, please how long does it take to make a final decision on an application after medicals?

Is it upfront medical, you got a medical mail, paper or online route.

I was away for two months so not sure if they stopped processing online from Turkey or Dubai. I personally won’t be bothered for time. And who says you cannot restrategize if denied from London? I would rather go to a route that has established itself more fair. For example, a woman I helped from this forum who filed paperoute was denied by the Kenya people. She immediately refired online with same documents, but more polished SOP. London acted and delivered. She is on her way for her studies August 15. On the average London delivers than Kenya people. I would rather trust my life with the London people. Just me, different strokes for different folks I guess .

Attorney grin I dig your point without stress. I also know of an applicant who went through online route, the applicant paid full tuition and transferred funds into dorm account and the sponsor was excessively and financially buoyant to cater for the applicant expenses throughout the stay in Canada and what happens at then end after waiting for 13 solid weeks?, the applicant was slapped with:

1-) Insufficient Funds
2-) Purpose of Visit
3-) Home ties IN country of residence
4-) Personal Assets and financial status.

Meanwhile the applicant included personal landed properties, payslips and there was a strong correlation between the proposed program, current job role and previous studies.

This is the same online route you praised! You have said it all different strokes for different folks. I think this is more of Grace!. As for me, Kenya visa officers are very fast and dedicated to their work and I must commend them for the job well done grin. As far as I am concerned people are still getting approved in paper route.

Shalom!

For me they do shabby job. They are lazy set of people. That is all I can say for now. Like you pointed, it is more of grace. How can a Visa officer be stating in your GCMS notes some information that does not reflect the application you submitted? Its sad. There is a preconceived notion about Nigerians.

Some times they really don't go through an application entirety. Even the GCMS notes I have been receiving recently turned out to be generic and constant repetition with other applicants notes.

There is more that goes into the assessment of application than simply paying full tuition and transferring money into one’s dorm account. Some people do that only as a gimmicks to decieve. They ask someone to pay for them and later ask for refund and abscond. Nigerians are very inventive and the officers know that. It’s the burden of the visa office to differentiate a good faith application and from one that is not. That is why you see people getting denied for insufficient funds even after they have paid full school fees. It’s the burden we all face to convince a visa officer whether in Kenya or London that we are going to be genuine students and will actually study and depart if the privilege is extended to us. I find London more reasonable on people and the statistics of approvals coming out of there than Kenya, bears out my reasoning. Since you won’t bulge, I declare you officially by the virtues invested on me, a Kenyan man smiley

It's better to be slow and do a good job than to play with people's life and resources, those Kenya v.o reject application within one week even before linking online and if one is not careful you apply 3 times within 2 months.

Explicitly Stated! Payment of tuition fees is not really a prerequisite to Visa approval. In as much as the Visa officer will have to differentiate between the sheep and the goats LOL! grin who truly is a bona-fide student that will study and leave at the end of the authorized stay.
That being said, I hope you never meant to give me such a name @ bolded? Because I'll go as far as referring you as "Attorney General of plateau Mountain"

That is why they refused somebody who had travelled to the UK, USA twice and Canada for LIMITED TRAVEL HISTORY.

On someone’s GCms I saw they indicated her 4 children and husband are resident in the UKRAINE, then denied her on ties. This woman and her family have never been to the Ukraine, only local champions in Nigeria.

Unfortunately, no room for appeal. Only judicial review which is quite expensive

Really?? I didn't know about that. My first application was in 2016. They refused me based on purpose of visit and that I have a degree of equal or higher value. I contacted immigration lawyer who advised me to seek for PhD admission since I already have a MSc degree from UK. That they frown at someone with masters going for another masters.

I have another question guys, one of my sponsor is my uncle who is a Canadian citizen together with my dad. My dad and I paid fist tuition fees, I have his account statements, but my uncle didn't give me his. He explained he no funds in present balance. His sponsorship letter states he will pay for accommodations, feeding, transport and second semester tuition. But supporting documents from his was his citizenship certificate, certificate of employment by the Nunavut government (cause that's where he works) stating annual income and allowances. He says that's all I need, but I am not very comfortable based on what I have seen here. Is this ok?

Secondly, I just realised that my program, college graduate certificate in project management is equivalent to a pgd. I have a bsc in banking and finance and MBA. Please forgive my ignorance, my uncle did the application for me as he has been in Canada since 2001, he felt project management is best but I didn't know it will make me step down to pgd as it's not a course I did in first degree. I have seen post that it's always better to go for masters or phd, but this where I am now. I tried to explain the career change in my SOP, it wouldn't hurt if one our humble gurus offer to read mine, I'd be mighty grateful.

I apologise for the long post, but this is my First time, just trying to be sure I do the right thing on my part before applying.

One more thing, is it necessary to get a notary to validate documents for paper route application?

Please I need more responses to this

Yes but that sounds ridiculous to me. I have the right to go for another masters. It's only Canada that deny study permit based on such stupid reason.
