Language and other influence makes a tribe popular

There's no tribe in Africa that covers much land mass

Furthermore, majority of the African Hollywood/movies always incorporate the Zulu language into their movies because of its popularity in southern region of Africa, even in south Africa, it is the most spoken language despite the presence of other tribes in that Country.


Finally, Hausas are quite popular because of wide acceptance of their language in west Africa. the Hausas and cousin tribes can also be found in countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Benin etc..

Although because of the fusion of the Hausas and Fulani tribes. one can say thesame about the Fulani tribe

So let me spell it out

Eastern/central Africa: Swahili

Southern Africa: Zulu

Western Africa; Hausa and Fulani to a great extent

That is my criteria for judging popularity.

We are talking of people here not language. Don't confuse yourself.

You still don't know the difference between popular language and popular people.

You don't just say that the tiny Swahili people are the most popular group in East Africa because the language is a the most spoken. Swahili language is popular but Swahili as a people is not.

Hausa is not popular outside West Africa.

What makes Zulu popular is not the language but their rich legendary culture. Zulu language is spoken by less than 15 million people.

I agree language partially make some people popular but not always applicable.

Swahili language is far more popular than Swahili people.
Zulu people is far more popular than Zulu language.
English is the most popular language on earth, does it make the Anglo Saxtons popular?

Hausa language is very popular in West Africa, how many South and North Americans know Hausa people?

The fact that you believed a tribe popularity cannot be influenced by its language and the fact that you believed language is not part of cultural heritage when addressing the issues of the Zulus in your write up makes me wonder why we are having this conversation

In addition, most aspects of the Zulu cultural norms are not very unique to them, it is basically the norms of the eastern bantu people of which the zulus are part. The popularity of the Zulu people was established because if the use of its language in the southern region of Africa.

on your last sentence, How many people even care to know the difference in African tribes not to talk of the languages spoken in those countries? Do you know majority of people in the west still believe Africa is just one giant country.
