Hebrew 11 vs 1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
They are two different thing but they work hand in hand. You cant be hoping for something and not have faith,You must have faith for that which you hope for to come to pass.

Faith and hope. Though both compliment each other but you have to read the verses from the scriptures to get its individual meaning.

Hope is a wish about anything to occur. Hope is not based on one's belief. It's completely probability based.

I'll give an explanation of both. But use google/dictionary and read the scriptures to get its meaning as used in each verse.

Grace can be likened to one being rest assured of getting a favourable outcome no matter the odds .

Mercy can be likened to someone being at the beck and call of another.

Hope speak of future tense
while Faith speak of present tense.
for example you hope that one day God will meet you financial need. But faith says God has already done it. That's why Hebrew 11.1 says "Now faith is" .because it speak of present. Faith says I believe. I have receive it now .while hope says I hope God will do it one day.

Faith means God is real and true. So faith is NOW!
Where as, Hope means God has the capacity to do what he promised. In Hope future is certain against all odds.

Hope is hoping on something you believed or you are expecting to happen, that's you have seen it from afar, your now waiting for the manifestation.
But faith is having faith an extraordinary matter, going extra mile, you just picture it in your and consider it done. Meaning believing is seeing.

Faith is an action word, and can be seen and felt.

eg. hope is a barred woman expecting that one day she would give birth.
Faith is a barred woman, who has bought babies items awaiting the arrival of her child.
the difference is the ACT/ACTION.
