Wait until this present government leaves power then you would know under which President the ministers or appointees stole most.

My quality of life was better when they were "stealing". I bought uae derams for 40 naira 4 years ago. I had to buy for 105-110 a week ago.
They are not "stealing" now but the economy is getting worse despite increase in oil price to $80 per barrel. Why has the naira not appreciated against the dollar if oil price has appreciated from $20 to $80? Does it mean stealing is going on in this regime?
I am starting to believe that even if oil price appreciated to $500 per barrel naira will not return back to the Jonathan period value.

Nigeria unity is sitting on gun powder. It may not survive this time around. Nigeria won't survive as a nation for long.

When people refer to brain, you shouldnt be one to speak. Does recession happen overnighthuh if u have bothered to actually observe nigeria's economic staus you would know that nigeria came out of recession since 2017 and our economy is growing once again. If not for your bad belle that clouds your judgment a normal human been with brain intact will not be insulting buhari

Oddly enough, the economy was doing much much better with corruption, and there was not so much hunger in the land. I'm not saying which is right or wrong, I'm just saying.

It's also odd that the people being persecuted for corruption tend to be members of the opposition... curious...

1.Oil was between $94-123 during Jonathan's regime till 2014....when oil prices began to drop.

2.Oil was at $75 when Bubu took over, went down to $30 in 2016, then back up to $70 now.

3.With higher oil prices..there were more dollars in the market...and that is why things 'looked better'.

4.If oil jumps back to $100 per barrel...things will look better...and you will be praising Buhari.

5.Why AM i telling you this long story....not to tell you that Buhari was better than GEJ, or that Bubu should be excused from his bad management....but to tell you that the problem with our economy is too much reliance on the price of oil.

And if Jonathan was still in power..the same issues you are facing...you still would be facing them.

The way out is to become a manufacturing nation...but because it involves some hardship ....you Nigerians wont support a leasership that backs such.(and APC nor PDP have an idea how to get there) Instead...you want your share of the national cake. THERE IS NO NATIONAL CAKE.

Recession came when GEJ was in power due to fall in oil prices...

so much so that Ngozi Okonjo Iweala was saying as far back as January 2015...that...

“The country must brace up for tougher times ahead”, she said. “We need to review our expenditures and build economic buffers through budgets that would be based on modest oil prices.”

She underlined the importance of a sound macro-economic management to Nigeria at this time, particularly the need to plug all revenue leakages.

“We have not yet seen the impact of the falling oil prices in Nigeria. It will start this month. We have to drive the non-oil revenue base to be able to weather the storm that is coming,” the Minister said. SAUCE
Things get better in Nigeria when oil rises....and worse when oil falls.

And right now...APC nor PDP has the answer...which is industrialization.

They said that you were corrupt because you practiced the true democracy. Now we know better.
We now have people who gang up to frustrate government, arm people to kill while they themselves cry fulanis to instigate unrest and hate, people who stage manager their own siege, assassination attempt all to gain sympathy. If this is how democracy works against the interest of the people I rather go for a dictator that knows what he is dictating.

silly rhetorics make no sense. there is no button to press that puts a country in recession. when u flush all ur assets down the drain and encourage your greedy friends to loot the counttry to stupor recession becomes inevitable. GEJ is the architect of nigeria's recession. You can take that to the banks and cash out!
