Spyder880 just as a general inquiry, is the price of land in Nsukka far much cheaper than Enugu city or is it just a little cheaper? 1 Like 1 Share |

Hmmm Nsukka is being transformed into a beautiful city. The Gov is really working. A little flowers on both sides work will do wonders. 5 Likes 1 Share |

I found out recently that UNN Nsukka was actually the first University in Nigeria and not University of Ibadan as been claimed for years. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Afam4eva: Ibadan was an "Extension" of the London college during colonial times. It wasn't even a University on its own. It was 2 years after the founding of UNN Nsukka that it indigenized itself and transitioned into a university. 8 Likes 1 Share |

horsepower101:So, if it was an extension of the university of London, what do you call it? A polytechnic? Perhaps a college of education. 1 Like |

Afam4eva: A college sounds close to what it was but it wasn't a university during its operation in colonial times. The actual university that it operated under was in London and all the degrees offered had the school name on it. The first real University in Nigeria was UNN Nsukka University Definition: an educational institution designed for instruction, examination, or both, of students in many branches of advanced learning, conferring degrees in various faculties, and often embodying colleges and similar institutions. 4 Likes 1 Share |

I just feel overwhelmed just looking at the rate of housing development in Awka. Its too much and too fast. Will Government ever catch up with infrastructure such as roads? Do they even have the money to do so? How can we ever solve this issue? 2 Likes 1 Share |

horsepower101:The problem with some of you is that you're not open to learning. You just want to argue to your graves. University College, London is a university and the one in Ibadan operated as a branch campus. 2 Likes |

spyder880:Most south eastern capital cities such as Enugu, owerri, Awka etc all look the same from the top. The architecture of the residential building are identical which is not a bad thing. However, i think one problem that has plagued most of our cities except for Enugu is the lack of tarred inner roads. From this image, you can see that long stretch of road that is left in it's natural state. That's the same problem i highlighted about Owerri sometime ago. 3 Likes |

Afam4eva: There was a thread about this issue that was extensively explored and debated. It ended up in tribal fights. I will let you and everyone else come to their own conclusion. I have said my piece but I don't think I can change anyone's mind about it because there are so many legitimate angles to look at it. 1 Like |

Is it every part of enugu town that is tarred? The poster never said that it is the whole city. I have pictures that depict untarred inner streets all over Enugu but if i post it now you people will start crying igbo unity and other rubbish. Enugu town has its own fair share of untarred inner streets. If you dare me i will post it here. Afam4eva: |
Re: . by horsepower101: 6:02pm On Aug 08, 2018 |
Afam4eva: The problem is that Igbos don't like to wait for government to start development but you cant blame them for it. Imagine how so many cities would have been today if they were waiting for various Igbo governments/ governors to put infrastructures first. They will almost never develop. Government has been forced to play catch up because our current pattern of development is mostly individual driven. 1 Like |

I posted this report here and clearly showed how poorly Enugu state is doing but none of you have been able to push Enugu state govt to do something right. They have clearly avoided this report. Stupid people.

Re: . by bestviewer: 6:09pm On Aug 08, 2018 |
These are not just streets but major roads in Enugu town. The names are there, go and confirm. If i start posting untarred roads all over Enugu town, infact all of us will get tired on this thread.
