All information are there on the internet to guide you people do not be misguided by others, path to success won't be the same even if you are identical twins. Don't let them call you lazy youths again. |

[quote author=Babyvet post=70113509]First, if your educated, your school system has failed you because basic reading and comprehension you lack. Me and backfornow were talking about correctional officers and you were talking about a probation officer. Both jobs have different requirement, job descriptions and pay. I never stated people of various degrees should be paid the same. I do not prefer 10 or 12 job and I do not earn such pay. Nobody is saying that anyone should come to this country to earn minimum wage or little more than that. No you stop posting false salaries and learn how the American system works and know the difference before gross income and take home. Better be careful, not everything that glitters is gold. [/quote ok cool and how American works you can write a book about it stop saying what you have no clue about Mr or Mrs America, since you own the country. |

All your knowledge about corrections is hearsays, half baked, incomplete and outsider view of it, you do not work there no point making unnecessary argument with you. I don't claim to have first hand knowledge like you peeps claim. Empty content not only barrel makes the loudest noise. Any LEO job i am going to school you on it, is not flipping houses . |

stonemasonn:The man improper actions has caused total destruction of life and properties on 6,000 hectares of land since a week now. Fifty one year old playing with fire in a state that do witness drought for most part of the year. When people commit crime the law is there to stipulate necessary punishment, unless it is a lawless society. |

abbeyboy2o15:Can I just say a few more things... There are different types of prisons. Secondly the jail population is going to be different in a small city vs a large city. This same logic applies to a county jail inside of a city. When I worked at one of the major hospitals in my city, sometimes inmates would be brought in for treatment. We as xray techs would get called down to do xrays on injuries. Sometimes these injuries were self inflicted just to get a break from the jail. And at other times the behavior of the inmates were so crass. The officers would give us certain protocols to follow bc the inmates were not to be trusted or left alone at any cost. Several of us were invited to go work at the jail as xray techs and we were advised by another woman of her own experiences. So in this case, the second handed experiences were enough for us. Second handed experiences are ok, as long as the source can be trusted. |

Make you people leave that guy alone , as long he dey make his so called big money , that’s all matters to him, it’s does not matter what it entails. No need for further explanation. |

abbeyboy2o15:l Traveled through Northern California and Reno for work with a senior colleague at different towns. I met another contractor who told us his grandma’s house was on fire about 80 miles from where we were. Anyway I underestimated the disaster until I realized later some areas I passed through were affected. That’s very bad. |

Backfornow:Department protocols need to be followed, so you no those department, officers get sued by the inmates, so if you are following the department rule the officers is golden but if not liability comes in, and the Fed still control everyone of them as there oversight functions because so states are not abiding to the rules . Most prison in ca do have there own in house doctor, nurses so they do not need to get any medical attention outside. |

Babyvet:Continue to fool yourself man, you have no iota of knowledge on this issue apart from hearsays. Get a job first in that field before saying rubbish on the internet. You are part of the problem with Nigeria as a country, not only the politicians but citizens that cannot be trustworthy even on the internet. |
| Re: Yankee: through the eyes of a village boy. by Babyvet: 7:14am On Aug 09, 2018 |
abbeyboy2o15:I’m not part of Nigeria problem , I don’t live there anymore . I’m now America’s problem lol. I’m not sure why your still on the matter , I’m not pressed to be in that field , go and preach to the people who want to hear it . |
| Re: Yankee: through the eyes of a village boy. by Babyvet: 7:18am On Aug 09, 2018 |
Backfornow:I live around the area, Baltimore is okay although it has some very rough parts, would like to move though, just don’t know where. Marlyland in general is nice , good place is raise a family but state is expensive . It it’s has some of the richest county’s in America . |

Babyvet:That why your knowledge, current events, training, and policies about the field are questionable. Let those in the first talk first. Your friend say this or that is skeptical, we all have friends. I am telling you about my dept and your post of reference are all hearsay kudos to you since you are the only one in US continue saying gibberish. You cannot gamble into an unknown field because your friend spoon feed you on it. You are telling me have more experience and knowledge than those that are working there. Only a docile person would believe. I work there and live in the US too .It is not everyone that are US that make unnecessary noises about it . Facts are like gold once tainted it value depreciate. |

abbeyboy2o15:Go back and read my post very well. I never mentioned anything about friends. You need to brush on your reading and comprehension skills because it’s really bad. Like I said multiple times already, keep the information about this your yeye field to yourself, it’s not by force. I’m not interested in hearing about it anymore |

abbeyboy2o15:Correctional officer job though comes with good benefits; doesn't require a college degree for entry level and 4-6k a month is nothing in CA where you live as compared to other parts of the country |

| Re: Yankee: through the eyes of a village boy. by abbeyboy2o15(m): 8:45am On Aug 09, 2018 |
rinzaugustine:It requires a college degree in California for now, requirements may be different in your state. In the same state the requirements for police is high school diploma so it is not the same statewide. And saying 4-6k is noting in CA for entry level job seems you are joking, entry level for that matter. So tell us how much high school diploma in the correctional dept are taking home in your state. I even posted a recent job bulletin not internet cover those guys are posting without a state or name of the hiring county. |
