Nice one Spyder!

From the pics posted it's obvious our cities owe their progress mainly to individual effort. Gov't and corporate entities could step up their game a bit more.

We need more and better roads and flyovers as well as a few iconic structures that can help define a city. Governor Rochas was thinking on this same wavelength as can be seen from some of the things he tried doing in Owerri: ie, the Akachi monument and the statues of African leaders and achievers.

Corporate entities can also sponsor iconic structures or show their presence by way of providing much needed services. Anambra has benefited the most in this regard as can be seen from the structures put in place by the likes of Dr Maduka, NESTOIL and Stanel. If you go to the Olympic park in Stratford-London, you can't miss the ArcelorMittal Orbit; in New York you have the Statue of Liberty donated to the US by France; in Paris you have the Eiffel Tower partly financed by Gustave Eiffel himself.....all these are examples of non-government efforts to provide iconic structures that helped place cities on the world map. Now i'm not suggesting we go as big as the Eiffel Tower for instance, but i think corporate entities and high networth individuals could do more for their states and state capitals. Besides iconic structures, they could build a public leisure park (which we're yet to get in any city in the SE) or a Cable Car or giant Ferris Wheel for sightseeing which could be named after them.....this would help improve tourism in the state. Imagine if Owerri had a giant Ferris Wheel, what this would do for its tourist potentials!

That poopy guy lives in Burkina Faso and has not seen Anambra in his life, but posts pictures from other people or facebook. He doesn't give credit to people when he uses their pictures, even when he steals personal pictures people posted in facebook and posts in public forum here.

Let him post one original picture taken by himself and we will know he has visited Anamabra at least for once.

Spyder880 has the right to post any pictures of any part of igboland according to where and how he withnesses it.

Mind you he is doing these things according to where he is going for business ventures. He is not getting paid to drive around and take pictures.

Finally Abia, Anambra, Delta, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, and Rivers state all have one thing in common.

1) they have indigenous igbos living there.

2) they are all ARTIFICIAL creations. As an Igbo man all those places are my land and the people there are my family.

Let’s not get Carried away. States were created by northerners to divide us by drawing stupid fake lines around us.

For some people, they succeeded in brainwashing them but for most of us normal folks, we still see ourselves as family no matter what part of igboland that you are from.

Useless short man, all you do is to attack anyone you feel you are not comfortable with his comment.

Are you even Igbo to start with? Is Delta state an Igbo state? You have been hovering on almost all igbo threads like a demon but you have not posted a single picture about your so called Delta state.

Must you always be on igbo thread? Why not open a Delta thread and start discussing about development there?

You are talking about dividing igbos as if you are even igbo. Stop fooling yourself. I.diot

Chino is NOT Igbo.

He did the same thing in Enugu thread and tried all sorts of gimmicks to derail it but failed.
He did the same and has continued to do same in IMO thread.
He did the same in the first Anambra thread (Anambra, the economic & political powerhouse) which FK081 created for us.
He insults Ebonyi people at the slightest excuse
He call Anioma people non-Igbos and would post pot holes on Asaba roads thinking it would perturb me.

The dude is NOT Igbo. He is simply here to derail Igbo threads and therefore, we should all try and ignore him. let him respond to himself with his monikers. The dude need psychiatric help for real.

If someone still believes Chino is Igbo or even from Anambra state that person needs his or her head examined.

Chino is as Igbo as I am fucking Chinese. I honestly think he's schizophrenic considering how many accounts he owes and uses to talk to himself. You have to be crazy to do all that.

Spyder thank you for this. It's really nice to see all the progress of Igboland. Ignore the Afonja trying to start wahalla in your thread. That's what we all do nowadays. Allow him to just talk to himself.

So are you saying Anambra is perfect, no flaws? Dont ridicule those who pick up on the flaws and point it out.

Let me preach to you guys generally, this is your amala and ewedu brother talking. As you all know the red oil in our soup get in our brain. So what you are about to hear is from a red oil soaked brain. Take it anyway you want.

In order to have success, one must first fail. It's the toil of mankind as decreed by the creator. No mortal man can change it. I repeat it in a different wording....failure begets success!

When you hide flaws it never receives the necessary critique needed to drive change and improvements and so it continues to remain a hidden flaw.

When your flaws are brought to surface for critique it is of course embarassing and humiliating but our of that humiliation comes a resolve to change and beautify. The hidden flaw soon turns into a pride to show off.

So allow your people to bring out and speak to what is wrong in your community and society so those who are offended can get up and make corrections. Dont shut down your people and ridicule them for speaking on the ills of society. Embrace what they point out as areas of attention for beautification and growth.

Particularly this thread is looking for inputs on growth.

Meanwhile, i encourage you guys to eat amala and ewedu sometimes so you can approach your issues like we do in Yorubaland....we respect diverse views! grin

Thank you brother, that was how they shut me up and threatened me when i posted this report. They called the report an Afonja report just because it is not favourable. They have refused to discuss Igbo problems where it matters, more especially as it concerns this report.

The biggest problem with our cities is that they have no master plan.

Every major cities in Asia, Europe, North and South America have a Master plan. And I am talking of cities that are less than 1 million inhabitants.

Where is the Aba, Onitsha, Enugu, Umuahia, Owerri, Awka, Nsukka, Asaba, City Master Plan?

Can someone show me any single master plan for these cities?

As for port Harcourt, I know Amaechi’s regime came up with a master plan for the Greater Portharcourt City. That’s the only one that I know.

Chino is a very bitter person in real life, we only have to commit his wife (if at all he knows how to set up a family) in the hands of God to avoid the story that touches the heart.
Such a person can not have a real work and be busy sleeping in Nairaland.

Ifeanyi i am a very happily married man with lots of low grade Ebonyi people working for me.

My singular anger with you is that you people from ebonyi are not igbos. I sacked one of your brothers in our employment because he spoke his nasty language to my wife.

I am not a gala hawker that's busy all day only to make 500 naira.
