It is absolutely funny how people use standalone elections to predict the outcome of the general elections next year. It's extremely difficult to defeat a ruling party in such by-elections. Simply because all resources including security apparatus are deployed to focus on such events. Security as far as we know do the bidding of the ruling party. remember case of Fayemi vs Fayose under PDP and same contenders under APC. remind me again how many policemen were deployed in the latter Ekiti election, about 22000.crazy.

In the case of general elections, all resources are stretched including security. 22000 policemen might be the number allocated to the entire south east and south south as against only Ekiti.

Let's not use these by-elections as barometer to the future elections. They are incomparable.

As far as I know, the presidency is losing sleep over the elections, the hardship since the government came has been enormous. If PDP fields a northerner, even though they may not win in the north, but they will cut a chunk out of PMB votes. The south east and south south are no go areas. Their cases are already decided. APC would be wasting funds to campaign there. The southwest are unpredictable. They don't seem to have any leaning. They are last minute people. But I believe the hardship in the country will clear their eyes to understand that one person in the like of Tinubu cannot be deciding their fate.

This presidential election would be either PDP win or it goes to a runoff

The APC will surely win 2019 general elections . Why? They have the law enforcement agencies to do their bidding . They also have the money to purchase votes (remember the 200 billion + Buhari was requesting for INEC elections?) from the gullible masses.

Why consoling yourself. Check Cross River Hos election conducted by state electoral commission and understand that Nigerian are becoming wiser daily. For APC to poll more than 25% there should tell PDP their current strategy is flawed

I haven't heard PDP saying anything they will do differently all you hear is Buhari this Buhari that. For 16years Nigerian were patient with you but you destroy everything

Now those destroyer who moved to APC and was glaring they were the cog in wheel of progress are returning to you. You welcomed them with funfair and made them parry leader.

Then you allow drug addicts like ffk to insult Fulanis and Muslim. Meanwhile all your presidential candidate are mostly Fulanis and Muslim. Tell me the wisdom in what you are doing.
