I'm banking with Union Bank and UBA. They are all good. If u want interest in your money, buy bitcoin and keep or go into cryptocurrency.

What kind of dumb joke is this?

I don't think any bank in Nigeria gives interest on savings.
They wipe it all out all in the name of text message and maintenance charge.

If you doubt me try leaving 1000 Naira in your account untouched for one year. You will watch the depletion with utmost awe grin grin grin cheesy
thanks u said the plain truth...Zenith is worse...Like seriously i am even tired..It's a shame!

Dts right! All what they call interest is all lies, cos as they give u with one hand, they take even more with the other hand. The worst is fixing, except u just want to hide the money for future use.

Don't try that useless first bank they are thieves, keep deducting your money on any small withdrawal you make, even if you buy airtime via them the remove your money. & some of their staff are very rude.try any bank but not them. They feel they have attained their customers level as they said they are first. I prefer sterling bank or GTB, I bank with them too, very friendly staff with no too much charges involved.

GTBank is clearly ahead of other banks in Nigeria. As anyone tried Wema Bank's ALAT.
Am currently using GTBANK and ALAT both are great bro. Their internet banking apps are great, most especially ALAT, you will Enjoy the ALAT

I'm not into bitcoin though..but this is wat happens. Like last week, the price of bitcoin drastically reduced. So spending like 50k and buying the coin that last week and accumulating them in ur wallet will be the best thing to do. There'll come a time the price will triple and you can sell it then. It will just demand you knowing the market value, when it's dropping and when it wants to rise. As at last yr, some of my friends bought it for like 3k and sold it at 15k. So look at the gain
any idea about the start up capital?

@op, don't go to open a savings account with the aim of getting interest. For me, the aim of opening a savings acc is to restrict me from having access to my money at will.

To avoid hypertension, anger, unnecessary follow-ups to reclaim ur money that u deducted at Atm and only got alert without cash. To avoid unnecessary monthly deductions that will make you think if you made a mistake taking your money to the bank, some could be as high as 2oo to 500 monthly. To prevent a situation where the bank is poorly staffed or managed and you wait on cue till you develop permanent leg pains.

bank with GTbank and be a happy person.

talking from my own personal and others experiences.

Good Morning Nairaladers.
This will be the first time I will open a bank account, so I need to be guided please.
I want to open a savings account with following features:
1. Good Interest rates
2. Internet banking
3. ATM service.

Please help recommend a Bank that will offer me good service.
Try GTB even though I don't like them for not granting loans to SMIEs. Their internet banking service is second to none. You're also allowed to withdraw all you have in your account, that is, no closing balance is requested. On the interest rates, I don't really know much about. You may discuss it with them during your visit.

You can start with any amount. But the more you buy, the more you gain. But look out for fraudsters, secure your wallet, you must be patient waiting for the price increase. Aside that, your money is safe.

can you tell us the documents please
