Am even surprised with the assertion that most tithers are successful people...infact most of the tithers i know of are very poor and struggling financially....worse still is that they keep waiting for the so called "rain of blessings" as written in malachi.....Thats why most of them turn out to become atheists...No thanks to gullible ministers of the gospel!!

Bro stop been misled by the devil,Bishop Oyedepo himself pays tithe ,paying tithe in church is not same as paying to ur pastor.Men of God are custodians of God's treasures, what they do with it is no man's business.Are u the one that called them?They are answerable to no man but God so stop asking what they do with tithe, that is left for God to question them if they misuse or embezle them.As long as i agree there are business men on the alter who called themselves to that business of collecting peoples money in the name of tithe and offering, but that does not make u discredit the commandment of tithing.If u have not been tithing b4 now, i encourage u to locate a bible believing church and start paying ur tithe frm today and watch how God wil make u a living wonder

Pay tithe and expect WITHOUT WORKING, that's what most churches preach... breeding laziness all over the place.

While I agree that some churches have abused the concept of tithes and offerings, i still don't get the logic in a church not accepting it. For one where will the finds to run the church come from? Even the goal of this church which is to help the needy where will the funds be sourced from? There is something odd about the whole thing. I suspect members will be pressured to give in other forms and will end up donating more than tithes and offerings

Why will I be buying gets, building more mansion WHEN churches are not found in thick villages? What then are you doing is you on concentrate in developed cities.

I once pass through a village by virtue of road blockage in Benin Ore road and none of the self-proclaimed BIG churches could be found while we navigate the enclaves of that village BUT I found Jehovah Witness there.

You think these people do not know what they are doing?

Agreed, villages do not have money... that is why they are not planted in those place, wouldn't money used to build more houses, acquiring Jets be used to fund those places?

After the destruction of the temple in 70AD. There is no location that you can referred to as the house of God. 
God did not put his presence in any man made building or location again except in human beings! The living stones which make up the congregation of Yahweh that is the body of Christ with him being the chief cornerstone.
If any man says God has put his anointing in a physical location or building and his Holy spirit now resides there is lying or ignorant of scriptures. Holy spirit now resides in living stones not the one made with human hands.

This is Paul talking to Timothy here and Steven talking to the sanhedrin . You see God is spirit and he has shed his Holy spirit upon true believers not on buildings made with human hands.
Folks let us be true to scriptures. Let scriptures speak out for itself. Paul, Timothy, Steven, Peter, james all knew God has not put his spirit on building or at any location but on believers. Yahshua never taught them that God would place his anointing on any man made structure.

I am a worker in the House of God and will work for God till i die.On whether i am benefitting from tithe, the answer is emphatic yes, i pay my tithe consistently and have been benefitting frm the blessings of tithing and will continue to benefit the blessing.If u are nt a tither,i advice to tap into such Kingdom principle for financial fortune to be ur portion.No non tither can be blessed.argue it Frm Here till 2mrw,u cannot do anything against the truth bt for the truth

This is an old thread and my stance on this topic has long changed since I posted here, last year.

I used to proselytize for anti-tithe in the past but thanks to God, I've long discovered that we all are at different places and stages on this journey with the Father and he alone, through his Holy Spirit, can guide us into all truth. So, my stance today is whether you pay or not, you do it to the glory of the Father.

I will only speak up if young believers are being coerced into tithe paying but for those that are fine with it, to God be the glory.
