Tosin Omoyele, one of the best strikers in the NPFL failed trials with Swedish club IFK Göteborg. He went on another trial with Norwegian club, Valerenga who also decided against signing him.

The quality of players in our league as a whole is poor. That is a fact.
Foreign clubs will mostly go through the academies than sign directly from the league. That's just the plain truth

With good coaching our group would have been a walk in the park I am sure of it. Look at today, he had 3 midfielders running around like headless chickens when he could have simply sat one of them in front of the defense.

The girls are not bad at all, the keeper is good enough to complete with Alaba for the SF number one shirt and Duru might be the solution to our left back problem. Also our midfielders are getting better by the second, Peace Efih is my pick of the bunch but Ucheibe and Amoo have been improving almost by the second.

If you really look player by player it would be hard to pick a weak link. Look at how they reacted when their backs were to the wall and they could had to play and not listen to their coach. If the coach allows them to play real super falconet football they will be tough to beat.
Coaching aside, this crop are not a gifted as most of the previous crops.

One of the most difficult teams to coach are female teams especially at age grade competitions.

They easily get carried away, forgetting tactics and chasing every ball on the pitch.

They play like a team that was hurriedly assembled.

But I must also give them kudos for qualifying from a group that has Germany and China. These are major forces in female football.

Nigeria and Ghana given final deadline or face suspension
(FIFA.com) 14 Aug 2018

Two decisions of the Bureau of the FIFA Council in relation to undue influence in the affairs of the Nigeria Football Federation and the Ghana Football Association have been notified on 13 August 2018.

In line with art. 16 par. 1 of the FIFA Statutes, the Bureau of the FIFA Council decided that if by Monday, 20 August 2018, at 12:00 (CET), the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) offices are not handed back to the legitimate NFF executive committee under President Amaju Melvin Pinnick, who was duly elected on 30 September 2014, the NFF will be suspended with immediate effect for contravening art. 14 par. 1 i) and art. 19, as well as art. 14 par. 1 a) of the FIFA Statutes. The suspension would be lifted only once the NFF, under President Amaju Melvin Pinnick and General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi, confirms that it has been given back effective control of the NFF and its offices.

Furthermore, the Bureau decided that if the suspension of the NFF takes effect, the Nigerian team currently competing in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup France 2018 will still be allowed to continue to participate in the tournament on an exceptional basis given that the tournament is underway.

In Ghana, it is noted that formal investigation proceedings are currently being carried out by the chairperson of the investigatory chamber of the Ethics Committee against Mr Nyantakyi, who has been provisionally suspended by a decision taken by the chairperson of the adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee. However, the Bureau of the Council considers that the petition introduced by the Attorney General to the High Court of Justice to start the liquidation process of the GFA constitutes undue influence in the affairs of the GFA in contravention of art. 14 par. 1 i) and art. 19 par. 1 of the FIFA Statutes.

Under these circumstances, the Bureau decided that if the petition to start the liquidation process of the GFA is not withdrawn by Monday, 27 August 2018 at 12:00 (CET), the GFA will be suspended with immediate effect. The suspension would be lifted only once the above-mentioned petition is withdrawn and FIFA is given written proof thereof.

Ighalo that Ahmed Musa put through on one-on-one against Argentina.
Iheanacho, Musa or Moses would have easily scored from that position.

Ighalo is responsible for our WC exit!

The strength of the French team lies in the players behind the CF. They may even have played a goalkeeper in that their CF position.

But the system we play hinges on our CF to give us goals. He is our arrow head. He fails to score we fail to score.

I have been good. Been a while we heard from you. Trust u are doing good.

Removing Onazi totally from the team makes no sense.

We should approach them first but if they reject, no problem. We move on. Chikena!

Luke Amos can be invited directly without clearance from FIFA.

Then we shall cotinue to struggle and fail. We had not the mildfieeld nor a SS. Or AM for that kind of system. Or is it a MUSA that create a chance once in a million. Or an ANACHO. Thats too slfish that he rather shot no matter if he scores or not

We need a striker that knows where the back of the net is.

Yes we are not much gifted in the SS, WF and AM roles but if we chose to play a lone striker we should have one that can score from even half a chance.

Our system has always been to aim at the striker(s).
This seems not to be working for us because of lack of quality upfront.

Fast rising Club Brugge Dutch-Nigerian star Arnaut Groeneveld has dropped a big hint regarding his international future which suggest Nigeria could be ahead of the Netherlands in the quest to cap him at senior level.

Born in Nigeria, the 21‎year old has already represented the Netherlands four times at U-21 level but he appears to be leaning towards representing Nigeria at senior level, if his latest action is anything to go by.

He has dropped his Dutch surname Groeneveld for a Nigerian name in Danjuma, and that is the name he wishes to be called as it is what he now wears on the back of his jersey at Belgium side Club Brugge.

In Nigerian Hausa language, the name Danjuma is usually given to a child born on Friday ‎and the two goal hero for Club Brugge in their weekend win over Kortrijk could be closing in on pledging his allegiance to Nigeria at senior level.

Already Nigeria have succeeded in luring Tyronne Ebuehi who was also eligible for the Netherlands and a move for Danjuma who can operate on the flanks as a forward of as a wing-back looks shouldn’t be ruled out.

Former U17 World Youth Championship ‎top scorer Victor Osimhen is in Belgium to conclude a loan move to champions Club Brugge, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Osimhen has failed to make progress at German side Wolfsburg since his move to the team shortly after his exploits at the Under-17 World Youth Championship in 2015.

A loan move has been agreed as the best for him to get his career started and after failing to bag a deal at Zulte-Waregem due to concerns over his fitness, he has arrived Belgium to join Club Brugge on loan till the end of the season.

It’s still unclear if there’s a provision for him to make the move permanent but the club might likely announce his capture later today with all details after a routine medical this morning in Belgium.

Club Brugge presently have Nigerian forward Dennis Bonaventure on their books as well as Dutch-Nigerian forward Arnaut Groeneveld Danjuma.

You are both right and wrong. Our system had build round the mildfield. With overlaping fulback/wingerts who supply the strike from the wings. With an AM pulling the strings from behinde the striker. Something that was lacking very lacking in our games at the WC

in as much as i dont wanna drag this further. It pains me seeing only IGHALO being pointed at as the cause of out ouster. Thats all

Females are easy to coach when the coaches know what they are doing. I put it to you that women are a billion times easier to coach than men. There is no ego involved with women and they pay more attention to detail.

The coach was shouting about everything so how can day forget easily?

He has them playing in a way that is not in their DNA. We don't pass around aimlessly. The last 10 minutes against China was more of what those girls are about, ever forward football. They will probably have more players make the super falcons than any previous squad.
