Tosin Omoyele, one of the best strikers in the NPFL failed trials with Swedish club IFK Göteborg. He went on another trial with Norwegian club, Valerenga who also decided against signing him.

It is your opinion that he is one of the best. I see a young man who came from the second division and still had a lot of improvements to make. European clubs want real strikers and not just goal scorers but we here have brainwashed these boys to believe that all they need to do is to score goals.

I do not think, it is that simplistic. Dalung has personal issues with Pinnick. Pinnick did not let him into the sponsorship largese in the run up to the world cup.

This Giwa guy just wants to impose himself on FIFA. FIFA doesn't want him. Period! Even if he bulldozes the Glass house, FIFA will still not recognise him as President of NFF. Is that too big to understand?

You are both right and wrong. Our system had build round the mildfield. With overlaping fulback/wingerts who supply the strike from the wings. With an AM pulling the strings from behinde the striker. Something that was lacking very lacking in our games at the WC

Nigeria’s chances of shining at the forthcoming U17 AFCON zonal qualifiers in Niger Republic have suffered a major blow after at least 15 of the 40 best players failed the mandatory MRI age test just two weeks to the big kick-off.

Some feelers have even suggested that the players who failed could even be far more than officials were ready to divulge.

The players affected include four of the team’s star strikers as well as a highly-rated central defender from Plateau State, SCORENigeria has exclusively gathered.

We have further gathered that all the players have since been sent packing from the team’s training camp in Abuja.

Another set of 15 players are now to undergo the MRI scan to replace those who failed.

“It’s a devastating blow, everyone involved in the team is shocked,” an official admitted to SCORENigeria

Last year, as many as 23 players failed the age test so much so that the five-time world champions failed to qualify for the U17 AFCON in Rwanda.

Coach Manu Garba’s team are to begin their qualifying campaign on September 3 against Burkina Faso.

They are drawn in Group B along with Cote d’Ivoire and Benin Republic with only the overall winners of the seven-team qualifying competition advancing to the tournament proper in Tanzania next year.

Let me start with your last sentence. The only player from this squad that has so far distinguished her self enough to get an invite to the Super Falcons squad is Rashidat Ajibade. We do not have players in this crop in the modes of Ugochi Oparanozie, Assisat Oshoala, Ebere Orji, Francesca Ordega, Ngozi Okobi, Esther Sunday, Uchechi Sunday, Courtney Dikeh. At this stage of their careers, they were already wrecking havoc.

This crop is lacking in individual abilities. Fact.

The fact that the coach is always shouting out instructions tells you how difficult it is for the girls to maintain instructions/tactics without being barked at. Senior male team handlers need not do that cos they are dealing with professionals already.

You yourself can even plot some tactics for the Super Eagles to execute. But for female age grade football it is quite more challenging cos as I said before they easily get carried away by the occasion. Look at the tapes of those girls from other countries again you will find it more difficult telling which formation the coaches have adopted or who is playing where as they mostly all run round the pitch and marking zonally.

FIFA only recognises the court of Arbitration for sports rulings in these issues. That is clearly stated in the FIFA statutes. Ordinary Court rulings are not recognised by FIFA.

Already, Giwa's case has been dismissed by or withdrawn from the CAS.

FIFA is simply standing by their rules.

We have new elections in September, what will Giwa gain from being in power between now and then? The only way Giwa can ever be in power is if fifa removes his ban, and that can only happen if Pinnick's NFF write to fifa to do so. Best thing Giwa can do now is accept what was offered in the NFF congress which occured 2-3 weeks ago, meaning he may be able to contest in September

Yes Pinnick is a PDP man, not sure about Giwa. But this issue isn't even a political one. Dalung just wants a NFF president who he is close to and can control ie Giwa

I was not defending Giwa because he should have known better to let his emotions move him but the offer has not yet run out and FIFA has already come in like colonial masters. I just do feel the way they are coming in to tell everybody 'shut up and listen'.

Talking about supplies, you expected to have created in the WC as many chance as you would create at the African qualifiers and AFCON?

Go look at the past matches we have won in the WCs and tell me how many chances were created. We were just efficient upfront in those games.
Look at even against Iceland, I don't think we created up to 4 chances all game.

That chance Ighalo had was our deciding moment of that WC.

Bros, let me come in here. There are laid down rules according to NFF statutes and FIFA rules for elections. The galadima board, majority of State FA board mbers and the FIFA representative to monitor the 'election' were not present. Hence FIFA did not recognize the election. Rather than Giwa to contest the FIFA recognized election in Warri that had every party including the FIFA rep present, he went to court to get am order to stop the election. Pinnick board emerged from the Election. Giwa went to CAS he lost. He decided to constitute himself a nuisance to our football space. He has earned himself a 4-5 year ban by FIFA and CAF. Still not satisfied he feels if he does not get it no one will. If he had held his peace and had been offering constructive criticisms from the sidelines he would have been the favorite to get the NFF presidents job now. He is looking at a life ban.

FIFA is in charge of world football. You violate the rules and suffer consequences.

Giwa should know that only the rulings of CAS are acceptable by FIFA for sporting disputes.

Let him handle an U17 team and he will respect people like Manu and Amuneke.
