You get some of your apps in Chinese on Chinese rom. For example, I think mi store would be in Chinese.

i have now reached the equilibrium of my well served note 4X, is really high time for an upgrade, i want to start using a phone of 5.0", am now bored of 5.5", abeg, Xiaomi touts, kindly recommend a less than 90k 5.0" Xiaomi biko.. with good low light picture quality... My note 4X issa sucka during night shot..

It's not the rom that determines the LTE network band. It's a hardware stuff.

You still won't get band 20 on global rom.

Considering this is 2018, I think you should be looking at overall size of the phone and not just screen size.
Doubt you will see a solid 5" phone. Maybe 5.2" but I will wait for the xiaomi agbalagbas to chime in.

not easy to get a solid 5" phone this 2018
But if u can step up ur budget u can get the Mi8SE it's 5.88" tho, but the overall body size is smaller than ur usual 5.5" phones.

This thread has lost its focus tey tey. There is little or no sanity regarding advertorial posts on here. It is more like a marketing thread where thread visitors are constantly inundated with endless advertorial posts spanning several page scrolls in length. If you are away for few days, you get to see over ten to twenty pages of posts filled with mainly adverts. We don stop to dey learn tweaking and nodding for this thread, rather na so so how to advertise xiaomi phones we dey learn.

Just imagine a situation whereby other ppl decide to come into the market of buying and selling of xiaomi phones. This thread will hv virtually every seller aggressively posting adverts in a desperate attempt to gain more exposure time and garner more patronage from potential buyers. It would be chaos and total anarchy !!!

Y'all should take a cue from Hajj M thread on property section.

Sellers should provide a link to their own threads in their signature and those interested would click to visit it.

As it is self, most of them have already made a name for themselves on here as legit sellers. If they continue contributing enough to the thread and responding to people's enquiries about xiaomi phones, naturally ppl would be endeared towards them and would want to contact them in a bid to seek further help in buying and troubleshooting issues related to xiaomi phones.

This is the first time I'd be using a Xiaomi device(Redmi 3 Pro). It's cool and kind of odd when people ask you the kind of phone you Use and you say Xiaomi (most people do not know jack about it).
I just want we using this device regardless the model to meet here and share tips on how to get the best out of it eg. Rooting, unlocking, flashing, Upgrading, etc.
Please lets make this work and Shout out to @elijahdre for getting me this wonderful device.

For those who didn't bother to read from the 1st page, the above bolded is the main reason why this thread was created ab initio.

You want to buy a phone and you didnt do your research? So "touts" will give you all the specs you need?...this spoon feeding of a thing is getting really annoying
