This pre-emptive, I'm expecting even more to come. It's all attempt to cut their losses Since the news of Dangote 650 barrel per day is almost becoming a reality. These are some refineries that have been benefitting from the current status quo. Thank God for Dangote for taking the bulls by the horn, he doesn't bluff. 1 Like |

YourImaginaryBF: Lie lie. Which one is supposed to be ready by 2019? Which of the modular refineries is currently at 30% completion? Which of the existing refineries has been refurbished after 3 years to even 50% capacity? Which one of the refineries? How much has been spent on these refineries in the last 3 years? What timeline has been set for their completion? I won't even bother to ask about the dangote refinery that this government seems to be relying on over and above our existing refineries. Now they are talking of expanding refineries? How are these projects going to be funded if public? If private, what timeline has been set for completion? People should stop playing with the intelligence of Nigerians please. |

YourImaginaryBF: Are we still in the PDP administration? Get your head out of your arse and account for the past 3 years your government has been in power? Where are the functional refineries now that we have the so called change? We are still hearing 'will' and 'shall' |

YourImaginaryBF: Oga can you account for what exactly APC has done in the past 3 years and stop referring to the PDP? PDP was voted out for not performing. Can you provide evidence of what your government has done to boost our local refining capacity in the last 3 years? Where is the change? |

This country is slowly fading away and we can't see this. this current administration is trying to turn our faces but nobody is talking, imports from Turkey a Muslim country,no offense but it automatically means (Hausa) Muslims would be working there, holding all the top position and would be called management, I work with NNPC and all employment has been stopped at all offices only Abuja does employment, the funniest thing is illiterate Hausas are been given Senior staffs automatically and they would be telling us to continue with this ONE NIGERIA scam. plain and simple if the plan on getting the (Hausa) Muslims get to work at top level no outsiders would be allowed to work there with them. it's the ugly truth. |

Re: NNPC, Investors To Relocate Refinery From Turkey To Nigeria by ItsMeAboki(m): 11:05am On Aug 15, 2018 |
deepwater: The matter is quite straight forward: It is a private venture by a group of investors who bought a (2nd hand BP) refinery in Turkey and propose to dismantle and re-assemble it in Nigeria where they would run it for profit (like any private operation). How they propose to run it, including who heads it, should really be up to them as the business owners - pls therefore explain where we would have a problem with this kind of arrangement. |
