Start from there and then when you get the overview, we will be happy to help with answers to specific questions. See some responses below.

Thanks @Newmum, I see my US birth peeps are here. Saw @Justwise is here also.
I actually picked and read this thread but may have skipped some parts if I am sincere. You have provided clarification for most of my inquiry but would refer again to Page 1 as advised. Thanks a bunch

Welcome sister. There is an application fee of N600,000 you pay before you can start the procedure. It is termed 'Page 1 exemption fee'. Pay via Remita, collect your code and send via PM to @Elfmannisback and @mcstan18. They are the Treasurers of IRCC office. They will issue you a receipt, then you can use that one to collect your number tag for visa stamping. Visa stamping takes place in my house on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Stamping fee is N300,000 per family member above 18, children below 18 years is N299,500. For single men, it is N450,000 (why you never marry since? angry) After that, you can travel to Canada and file for citizenship immediately. Very easy process. Start now!

Silent reader here, been following since part 2. I didn't even want to join NL because I didn't think it was necessary, I had all the info I needed just from reading the threads. Till I needed a second opinion on my NOC and I saw Newmum0615 working her magic. My apologies because it's a VERY long and scattered post.

ITA - 24 Jan, CRS 464
Submitted & AOR - 19 March
Med Passed- 26 March
IP1 - 27 March
Ghost update & IP2 - 6 August
Ghost update - 12 August
PPR - 15 August (Letter dated 14th)
FSW - Outland
VO - Ottawa
Single (and sarshing) Applicant
Jesu seun!

I heard about the FSW program in 2014, just when I was about rounding up my masters. Staying back in UK for work wasn't looking feasible and I honestly did not want to return to Naija without atleast work experience because of my field (long story). My bro-in-law who told me about Canadian FSW just didn't want me going back to Naija period! So I started the application then when it was still paper based. The rush was on because I had heard they were going to scrap it at the end of the year. I had a family friend in Canada that went through the same route who was putting me through with the forms. I managed to send my application few days to the end of the year but unfortunately (or fortunately??) my application got returned sometime in early 2015 because the quota had been met for my chosen NOC (By then I was back in Naija).

To say I was pained was an understatement, plus all the energy and money I had burned chai! Anyway there was a notice attached to my returned application that I could apply through the Express Entry route, I was just like "express kini? I'm not burning anymore money". Eventually I looked into it and realized it was the same as my paper application, except everything would be online. Plus I already had everything I needed to create a profile. So I went ahead and created one. My score was 448. I remaind in the pool till 2016 Nov when my IELTS expired and CRS did not drop. By then I had lost hope it would ever come down so just made up my mind I was done with it all. Btw I personally think the IELTS marking is stricter in Naija cos I did better in the one I did in UK which I wasn't too prepared for: LRWS 8/8.5/7.5/9 vs 9/7.5/7/7.5
Oyinbo gave me 9 in speaking and dudu said 7.5 issokay. I digress

2017 came and surprise surprise crs scores started dropping hian! I was like " This isn't fair! I no do again jare", plus the Ijebu woman in me wasn't willing to cough up IELTS money lol. So October 2017 while I was on vacation, my sis asked me how far with Canada, and I told her if I had still been in the pool I would have been invited to apply atleast 3 times over. She asked why I wasn't in the pool and I told her no money for IELTS and then she said "but you can afford plane ticket every year for holiday?!" Hahahahahahaha talk about misplaced priorities. Anyhoo that's how I decided to rewrite IELTS o, got back in Nov and registered for first date in Jan 2018 as that date was less likely to clash with work. Didnt wait for online results but went to pickup at their office the morning the results were to be released. To the glory of God I passed, cos I had said I cannot afford to rewrite this - literally (my ijebu blood is STRONG). Created my profile same day (Friday) and by the next Wednesday got ITA.

At this point I was considering declining since I didn't have complete POF and I was feeling secure with my CRS, but sis-in-law talked me out of it. So I just took my time getting my documents and eventually completed my POF.
I had been reading on here about people getting PPR mails in 3 weeks, 1 month, 2 months and I thought I wasn't going to be bothered about how long mine would take, I was aiming at leaving March 2019 anyway (mostly to avoid the cold). But then I submitted and all that changed, I wasn't as patient as I thought I'd be. I kept checking my profile incessantly for updates, my email no rest, I always made sure to check and clear my spam folder to make room just in case it ended up there. Plus some things were just happening, especially at work that I was like "God, I have to check out of this country before 2018 runs out". I sha kept encouraging myself in the Lord, plus the occasional venting to family and friends. And of course this thread helped as well (y'all are absolutely fantastic btw! - most of you sha...Lol) Now I'm glad this stage is finally over PHEW!

So here's a few things about my application incase it'll help anyone:

I combined 2 NOCs but closely related ( 2yrs+ on current job - 3211 & 9months for previous job - 3212)

GCMS notes ordered - 31st May
GCMS received - 4th July
Last activity on my file was 30th April hmmm. Eligiblity was Recommended passed, Criminality & security not started

Noticed POF calculated by the officer was about $700 short of what I calculated but I still had more than minimum POF for single applicant.

I was concerned about ITA received less than 2weeks short of me completing full 3yrs work experience, if calculated to be less than 3 years my crs would have dropped below the cutoff. Before you all come after me - No I wasn't trying to be sharp and cut corners, it just didn't occur to me it could be an issue (I was focused on counting the months not weeks) till I saw it mentioned here. I did some research and found a post on Canada visa that put my mind at ease small (screenshot attached below, don't have the original link again).

Fortunately it turned out well, the officer calculated my work experience till my date of AOR - 19 March, ie 3yrs and 2 months (My current work ref letter was dated 16th march and I submitted payslips till Feb 2018, likely those were factored in). Better to play it safe though and complete full 3 years.

There was a remark by the officer "NOTE: SOME FUNDS ARE FIXED DEPOSITS." Don't know why the need to state that. The bulk of my POF was FD in dom account (£), the rest was T bills in Naira and also submitted statement for small change I had in NatWest account just to be safe.

All in all everything looked fine with my application.

140 days post AOR and still no activity/update in my profile.

So called CIC - 6th August. Was told Eligibility is now passed, Criminality also passed and Security (background check) in progress.

Logged in after the call and saw "Application /profile updated"
My profile was still showing "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements"
But background had finally changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information"
Atleast now there was some activity.

Then came the much awaited PPR mail this morning. Now to start applying to job vacancies I've been eyeing so I know where I'm booking my ticket to.

So yea that's about it, it has been God all the way. If anyone has specific questions relating to my post I'd be happy to answer.

Thanks to everyone who's posted useful info on here and a special thanks to those I reached out to behind the curtains who were kind enough to respond @newmum0615 @medal007 @lordnath @40manlappy @onyi888 @grammy010
