Here was another drama that took place last night while a female student of the University suddenly ran mad while reading for an exam at a popular lecture theatre at OAU during night reading. It is the lecture free week and a lot of students were preparing for exam scheduled to start next week.

Her brain was too stressed up which led to acute depression.It's a psychological problem and with medication at this early stage,she would be okay.If she's left unattended to or taken to native doctors,the problem will lead to full madness.

When I was in my 300L years ago, I discovered I cud not read for more than 2 hours straight without this hot sensation in my brain. Immediately it starts, I go back to my room, take a cup of milk and sleep. Till this day, I still experience it. I have my m.sc now. This life na jeje...

That awkward moment when your head steaming as if it'll blow; why not take a break and rest a bit?? Education in naija is not a do or die affair, you do your best and leave the rest to God.

It's a normal thing that happens during exam periods in OAU due to the rate of intensive reading on that campus. I witnessed two occasions when I was a student.
In OAU is either you read or you fail . Cos no blocking or sorting that's the honest truth.

You're right. We take mental issues lightly in this clime which with proper care, individuals with slight schizophrenia and other minor mental conditions can be managed successfully.

How can reading make one run mad, the worst that would happen to you is you won't assimilate any longer. You may end up reading 1 line 10 times over and over again. Or the person may get stressed or depressed not run mad. I have heard of cases where people run mad after bad news, now that's understood, that's shock. Reading and all of a sudden running mad is an arrow

Tireless reading cause this little disturbance to the brain... use to have this friend in secondary school then, he hardly talk to anybody just his notes, can't forget the day my guy start this madness drama, it wasn't funny at all that day. The dude have to use weeks at a church, he came back and the thing didn't even stop. He talks alone, laugh unnecessary and get provoke mere seeing you near him... Most times it isn't spiritual...

In 2010 such a thing happened in awo hall cafe.One guy started behaving some how and all of a sudden he started shouting and running round the cafe,we first thought it was aro not until some guys ran after the guy and bundled him to the health center.I think what causes it is brain pressurization .whenever I realized my brain has reached saturated point na to go sleep be dat o.

OAU na something else,when it come to exam reading,this is not a matter of not reading before exam,me self when I see that this thing might lead to something else,I ve to regulate my reading and have more longer of rest,and I know of still one medicine in my room that can go 14hrs,one has to discover his or herself

People asking what *aro* means should try and visit OAU especially Awolowo hall in the evening you will understand better. Those guys re clowns honestly lol... I can't forget some of the aro they did for me then. I could remember working along with my friend and her bf to our hostel one evening after class. That's how one yeye guy asked if I'm an assistant gf that there is brother o. This is exactly the way he said it "sister se assistant gf niyin ni, brother wa o" crazy and savage guys lol... Anyway, just for the fun of it I like the aro stuffs sha.
