So Moses singlehandedly won us the games against CIV and Mali abi? Just Victor Moses? SMH... Look, Moses was excellent in those games but he was not the only stand-out. He shared the stage with a few other excellent performers.

So Moses is not near Osaze at his peak abi? You will say this because you want to belittle Mikel's contribution to the NT? Kwantinue.

Please who is Nsofor and Obasi to Moses? Na wa ooo

Mikel was 18 going on 19 in 2006 where they finished 3rd. At 2008, they lost out too as the Post-Okocha period was still tough on them. Kanu was running on already tired legs. In 2010, Mikel finally took up mantle as leader of the young guns but the team was still ultimately led by Enyeama, Martins, Yakubu, Osaze, Yobo.. they fell short in the SF. 2012, we didn't qualify.

But in 2013, Keshi obviously made Mikel one of the undisputed leaders of the team on-field and surrounded him with the personnel to enable him explode on the grand stage called the Afcon. Then came in Victor Moses and it was a match made in heaven.

Mikel was no leader in those times he didn't win but he was leader alongside Yobo and Enyeama in 2013. He matured and it paid off with Moses and Emenike in the mix too.

You are not the only one who keeps chonicles on NT players Biko... So stop sounding like it is a hidden secret on how Mikel grew into his role in the Super Eagles Squad as leader.

Now here is food for thought... You credit Moses as the sole reason we conquered in 2013. We failed to qualify in 2015 and 2017... I guess that should be Moses' fault alone too abi? Since he was the alpha and Omega of the team in his time.

Was Okocha the leader before he distinguished himself to had made CAF team of the tournament after we won the 1994 AFCON?

How old was Okocha, Sunday Oliseh and Daniel Amokach then?

Despite Mikel been surrounded with players of higher caliber in those days, he could not do anything. Players like John Utaka, Peter Odenwingie, Taye Taiwo, Ike Uche, Martins, Obasi but after victor moses came in thinks changed. etc

The bolded is why I said Victor Moses is the alfar the omega because he played no part in our failure to qualify in 2015 and in 2017 he only played 1 and half match. Did Mikel not play in all the qualifiers yet we failed to qualify? Why?

I hope so because it would be a disgrace to disrespect all the man has done for his country. How do those people expect to motivate the upcoming lads. I hope he gets a proper farewell.

That's the point. They want to make it look as if Nigeria is not worth dying for.

Tomorrow, somebody go useless Enyeama. Na today.

No mind am. Victor Moses is a legend of Nigerian football EOD. Victor, Mikel and Enyeama would be worthy of a shirt in any era IMO.

I concur. Live and direct.

You are right but I feel there is something amiss.

in his era. His era was with the likes of Emenike, Musa, Mba, Omeruo and Oboabona. He is now retired, so, he is not in the same era as the likes of Onyekuru who are supposed to be "next generation"

He was the best in his era, but he isn't the best in this new era.

The biggest question is where Moses stands in Nigerian football history, he is no legend, he will eventually be compared to the likes of Osaze who could give you some really great performances on some days and then make you wonder where his brain went on other days.

It is sad that he decided to leave at this point, because he will not be remembered the way he should have been.

Bhuhahahaha! Wetin Onyekuru don do? Yehahohuyamakosa! grin that laughter in Japanese. grin

In this present era, I never see Victor Mose' factor.

Most might probably be more talented, but Vic Moses has done more in the national team in his short stay.

Very simple and short. Gbam.

Go through the article, pay Attention to the points raised and reasons given about work permit, club owner's relationship and Brighton's plan for the young boy.

He was emerging as one of the leaders of the team. He is young and could have served for 4 more years at least.

If the drive is no longer there, then it is best if he retires.

Nigeria has so many players especially at his position so I totally get how he could be comfortable making the decision. We should be able to beat Seychelles with our U20 so it is not like he is leaving us in a bad situation.

Forget excuses, if clubs rated him in the 1st division he would be playing there.

Congratulations to the lad. Cream will always rise to the top.

Isaac Success tipped to start for Watford in their next match.

Seems Dude has finally worked his way back into reckoning. I pray he will be lucky with injuries this season. National team recall looks likely now.

Is it the PSL's fault that ur league is so rotten it can't hit deals to televise his games. Who would even wanna sponsor such a mess of a league where cheating and corruption is the order of the day?

Stop using television as an excuse because u should be ashamed ur league games aint in the air, in this century. Something lowly Botswana, Kenya, Zambia, Mali, Togo et al can afford

Is not about masturbation Oga! Why can't he be sent to first division? Why second division if he's so good. At least our players are playing in first division.

I'm very Sure if Nah NPFL player that this happened to I know how you will react to it...

Lemme quickly add this... Yes NPFL is poor and decay but we should learn to appreciate those crazy move instead of bringing them down.

How Far about Nigeria moves Now? I saw your post where you are dissing those players that played in WC.

Guy so are you not Nigerian? why must I carry all the shame on my head? You have talent for pointing out problems but we have not heard a single solution come from you.

Were you living under a rock when supersports pulled out of the league without any explanation? People were even thanking them for maintaining the integrity of the league.
