Good day all. My toyota camry 98 model car just started acting up. At cool temperature everything works fine but in hot weather, the odometer and speedometer stop working with error code p0500.
I have changed the Vehicle speed sensor but the problem persist after parking under the sun for like 2 to 3 hrs.
Please, has anyone had this kind of problem and the possible solution? From my little knowledge, i think it has to do with thermal expansion.
A solution or idea would be highly appreciated.

If this car was a tokunbo, it's probably not used to our hot baking weather ........ It might need sending it back to its original country of orijin ...... (needs to get high)......

I had similar problem with mine. The solution is to change the instrument cluster completely!. I mean change the whole speedometer unit, a complete one cost like 8k tokunbo.
