Stop writing thrash because you hate Okorocha. Before Okorocha became Governor New Owerri was smaller than it is now and wasn't as built up as it is now extending to Avu, Nekede and Obinze. Uche Nwosu developed New Owerri through an ingenious tactics. Okigwe road is the only place Okorocha felled trees probably because they grew much tall and started bending towards the roads but he has replanted grasses and trees after expansion. Wetheral, Douglas and Orlu roads had no trees in 2011 and we have their pictures in Nairaland archives.

I know you as an unrepentant Rochas apologist hence your spurious accusations of me hating him doesn't bother. I gave him his dues where it was befitting but the truth must be told notwithstanding. How i wish my other phone was here, i woulda show some roads before 2017 and after, especially between Warehouse junction and High Court. That place is a far cry now from what it used to be greenery wise. Don't even get me started on Bank Road axis too.

As per the inner roads, i stay around old Owerri area and when you walk through Owerri Nchise communities, Aladinma, Ikenegbu, Prefab etc as well as even some streets in Aba etc., you will still see the old works of Mbakwe who tarred the streets far back when Abia and Imo with some part of Ebonyi were one state. The beauty of a street is tarred road and trees cum greenery. Our present leaders need to adopt this fast.

That's definitely not the same road. Where are the street lights in the first picture?

It's same road. Just look at the billboard and confirm that it was taken from same spot. The 3rd photo is not clear but you can spot same building.

A lot of beautiful pictures from Owerri and Enugu. At least, Rochas is getting something right. The beautification of Owerri is eye popping. The buildings are very beautiful and classy, the soil in Enugu makes a lot of stains on the road and interlocking is a very bad idea.

I already wrote earlier that it was the only place that got its greenery removed for 2 reasons which is overgrown trees in the middle and expansion of road from 4 to 8 lanes. However new trees have been planted and they will grow over the coming years.

But what is the catch in Enugu ? Is it good for business or what ? What sells there ? Enugu is one city I have not only never been to but I dont understand the place and nothing draws me to that place. Can somebody sell Enugu to me, bikonu? I see alot of beautiful building and red soil and I know Enugu produced some of the best brains in Igbo land but what else?

It is better witnessed than told.

Go to Owerri and drive around the city. I wrote about it before. I couldn't wait to get out unlike the Owerri I knew. The eyesore was heartbreaking.

Enugu is a thriving city with lots of opportunities if you have good capital. Why people prefer places like Aba, Onitsha, Port-Harcourt, Lagos, Kano etc. is because it's easier to rise from nothing to something in those places.

Who else likes the way Duncan mighty is using his influence to showcase the Igbo culture of the ikwerres

We need more of his kind in delta and rivers state

Southern Igbos including Ikwerre and even non Igbos dress like this, however, it doesn't mean they are Igbos. And we all know how Ikwerre feel about Igbo tag.

Consumer services and real estate. Real estate is where I invested and I've been getting good returns but you need some millions to do meaningful real estate deals.

Are you saying real estate business is more viable in Enugu than Onicha, Asaba, Benin etc

Real estate thrive more in Enugu and Anambra. Hotels thrive more in Owerri due to the night life.

ikwerres are igbos and we should remind them of that weneva we can..wat makes them non-igbos? Because they say so? The chinese-americans can claim to be 'american' all they want...still doesnt change their chinese ancestry
They wear our cloths and speak our language even tho we neva colonised them...yet they are not igbos?
U realise they are actually Igboland's only access to the atlantic ocean if nigeria eva breaks up? This ikwerre issue should be looked into again by ohaneze and major moves should start to court them.
I am not more igbo than Nwike
