Former UN secretary general, Kofi Annan, has been claimed died. The diplomat is reported to have died in Switzerland after a short illness. Kofi Annan is respected across the world as the force of peace and reconciliation. Kofi Atta Annan was a Ghanaian diplomat who served as the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations from January 1997 to December 2006. what? One of my greatest mentor of all times along side other greats like Utata Mandela The soft spoken diplomat who prioritized democracy in Africa during his reign at the United nations. A passionate advocate of human rights, and a strong believer in the universal values of equality. A patron of the Elders forum which sort to bring together experienced personnel across Africa to find lasting solutions to Africans problems.
