I think I have made a mistake. My HR manager asked me to send a list of my job description so that they can prepare my reference letter,. I wrote 10 job descriptions, and out of the 10, some of the wordings of 3 were directly from CICs website. I just read on this thread that the words must not match. And I have submitted my application already.

Am really worried.

There's nothing you can do.. Raising a CSE may even bring unnecessary attention to something that may already have been overlooked..whats your AOR?

To stand a better chance,

Try to input these things into the CRS simulator to know exactly where you need to improve on your profile.

But I can be in the pool and get a work offer or a provincial nomination?
While still working on improving my CRS
Can't I?

Okay since u asked for tots and advice
@bolded sounds like the nursing she's studying is d reason u wanna marry her
Also know that she can dump u tomorrow
If u have plans to relocate start now... D process won't wait for u.
When she's done, U can marry her and file for her later
Well said.....s**t happens

Hello fam, trust the weekend has been cool.

Please I need your insight here...I have plans to relocate to either Canada or US any time soon but I’d like know which is best advised; relocating as a single or with my fiancé (after wedding which might be in about two years). She should be done with her nursing professional licensing in about 2 years.

My consideration is that:

1. I have some stuff I’m still doing back here in Nigeria at the moment.

2. She being a BSc Nurse (in the nearest future), might be a plus for our relocation plans.

Would love to read your thoughts and advice on this.

Thanks!
Hmmmmm
Anyways if you are interested in canada read up page 1 so that while you are waiting to finish the business you have in Nigeria you could also be working on improving your profile eg doing a masters degree.
However if you try the CRS simulator and you are currently qualified, then you can start working towards the immigration now. In 2 years u can sponsor your GF.

In light of the bolded above:
As a nurse, I am hoping your love for her has more to it than just her choice of profession. No offence but I have seen guys jilt their "fiancee" while we were in school just because she failed the nursing final licensing exam and couldnt be the "nurse" he wanted at that point.

All the best!

Its better you do nothing..just hope and pray its overlooked..Worst case scenario is you are invited for an interview..ive never heard of outright rejection because of that.

Thank you so much for this.
So if my job description fits into 6552.
What do you then advise I do?

Do I give up on the express entry and relocation all together?
Does it mean it is village people working against me....because many of my colleagues have gotten PPR.
Although as typical of Nigerians,
they are all evasive of their application steps.
So I can't get a firsthand idea of what NOC they chose.

What is the nearest NOC you'd advice me to use?
I already posted my reference letter for a guide.

Thank you ma
. I do not think it is proper that you want pople to spoon-feed you without making any concrete effort to read previous pages.Sorry that I sound harse but me think you need to read from page 1

Yes you can get a nomination if you meet the criteria for the pnp in the province you apply to.
Staying in the pool doesnt hurt as long as you know what you are working towards; which is getting your ITA

It is better if you target an NOC then encourage you HR to word your reference letter similar to the duties.
If you get a reference letter first and try to match to an NOC, that is guaranteed to be more confusing.

Leave the village people alone o. They have their own problems.
Yes, you can split your NOC into 2. If you can get a good reference letter for the period you worked in the NOC B, you can claim the points.
As to which NOC to choose, sorry but not that familiar with banking NOCs.
ijomaSN:

Should I split my job description
For the 6 years I have worked as CsO/Ft into 1114
And the 2 years I worked in cash and teller as 6552?
So that it doesn't seem all weird.

You're only awarded points for your highest qualification. So evaluating BSc + MBA or MBA only would both give you same points.

Check Page 1 for more info on the CRS tool.

You're not supposed to "find your NOC" on page one. It is supposed to serve as a guide for you to properly understand the EE/PR process and make decisions (NOC code included) with regards to your own situation.
My candid advice, take time to do some research so that you don't get confused by the different suggestions and opinions. One day is enough to do that. I wish you all the best..

ijomaSN:

Well I have done that,
But I didn't find an NOC that my job description falls under as stated in the reference letter from my HR.

You need to take a deep breath and reassess your situation. You have been asked to start doing your research from page 1 of this thread and the IRCC site. Calm down and look at all your options and you just might see that there is really nothing to worry about. I haven't really looked at your previous posts to know what exactly you are worried about, but all I see is your frantic search for an NOC. If that is the only thing you are worried about, then chill. Something will always come up. There is always going to be something. Again, take a deep breath and relax.

Hello house, your advise is really needed for a friend. She is a primary school teacher
She was never really paid salary cos she still lives with her parents and they take care of her financial needs when necessary. She has a BSC and masters degree but non of the fields are related to teaching.

She has taught in her moms school for over 3 years and wants to claim experience as elementary school teacher (can't remember the NOC exactly). Her POF will be 100%

The question is what is the best way to prove her work experience considering that she has never collected a salary. Will it prejudice her if her mother (as the owner of the school) signs her reference letter?

the best way is to get a reference letter from her boss (who happens to be her mom) and also a letter stating she was paid cash from her boss (who happens to be her mum). She is good to go. HOPEFULLY THE SCHOOL IS A RECOGNIZED ONE (govt approved)IMO

That criteria is a criteria for you to secure a job in that NOC IN CANADA. My friend, as of now, has no intention to be a teacher in Canada. She wants to further her education as PR.
thank you for wisdom, yes she can go ahead and apply. In fact she has it very easy, owing to the fact her mother is ready to sponsor her, she has no problem, she is better off than many applicants, the noc is to prove you have work experience (in claiming points) not in getting a job in Canada. Please tell her to jump inside the pool naked. ALL THE BEST.

Hello house
I applied online for unilag transcript More than a week now, But they haven't sent it to ICES yet. Do I need to also apply in person before they dispatch it.

I also paid for ICES assessment recently. I uploaded my Masters degree certificate and International passport when filling the form online. Do need to also send these documents to them via mail or courier.
